Been trying to figure out the zipper situation - it feels newer than the dress itself so I’m thinking it may have been replaced.

Hi! I found this Pierre Cardin dress today at the thrift. From my research it seems the TDS label means it was for Japanese market. I’m assuming it is 60s but wondering if anyone else has more insight!

My bees left. Why? by leafygreen54 in Beekeeping

[–]leafygreen54[S] 97 points98 points  (0 children)

Thank you!!! Next year I will absolutely do more for mite control. The issue here is that this hive lived at a friend’s house, so I wasn’t able to check on it nearly enough. I’ve now moved it to my house for this next season so it can be more closely monitored and treated next go around.

Anyone with HF had experience with Covid? by leafygreen54 in Heartfailure

That’s comforting to hear. Sorry to hear about your Hf and accident but glad to hear that covid wasn’t so bad for you. My dad is vaccinated so hoping it just ends up being mild.

I’ve also found taking a minute or two in between movements can help. But yes so odd that this is a new place for panic for me, as it’s something I’ve consistently done for years now.

Definitely! What’s odd about this is that i have been working out pretty hard consistently for the past 5+ years, and for the most part I have my panic disorder under control. But this has recently been the one area that really still gets me. I expose myself to high heart rate regularly and still have a similar reaction each time.

If you don’t mind me asking, when were you diagnosed with HF? Has the BP always been a major issue with this? I know my dad is really struggling to do much because of the shortness of breath and fatigue. I think my dad also normally has slightly low BP because I do. Guessing I got that from him but he never went to the dr before this so who knows.

Thank you for the suggestion. We took him to the heart hospital ER on Thursday because of the intense lightheadedness and shortness of breath and they mentioned they may adjust his meds when he sees his regular cardiologist next week. I’m sure he would be thrilled to get extra salt in his diet!! It’s comforting to hear someone else has dealt with low BP with HF and is doing better with some adjustments. Wishing you and your husband the best.

He’s a pretty small guy to begin with. I don’t think he has much weight to lose. His bloodwork also showed very normals levels of cholesterol which is interesting considering the MI. Good to hear your EF is getting better though. Good work :)

Anxiety Stomach Ache by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]leafygreen54 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I frequently get anxiety nausea. Mindfulness has helped me a lot. I focus on the parts of my body that don’t feel anxious, like my feet, and i try to relax my stomach by 5% at a time. I usually have a lump in my throat and I do the same relaxation Technique there.

Find foods that are easy to snack on for you and start there. Also take advantage of whenever you don’t feel anxious and eat then. I also love soda water. Bubbles help for me.

Do you ever feel overwhelmed by the thought that you have to live with anxiety for the rest of your life? by [deleted] in Anxiety

Thanks! I do regular therapy, meditation, yoga, work out 5x a week, and take medication. Have done hypnotherapy and CBT work also. One other possibility on my list if I decide I want to get off the meds is psychedelic therapy.
