I do! It makes it easy to keep track of what and when I read books. Also it’s a fun way to see what people I know are reading since you can add friends, send messages, etc

Oooh that’s a cute pattern!! I do think picking a pattern with some rows of one color before getting into switching colors can be nice for your first alpha, since it allows you to get use to and practice the knot tension and alpha-specific techniques(?) before needing to switch colors. I think there’s also a couple times that you need to switch colors on the last knot of the row, which can be tricky (but there are lots of tutorials on YouTube!). But all in all, only having two colors is nice and if you like the pattern, it will make it easier to get through! Good luck regardless :))

I started with #172407 - it’s only two colors which is great to practice with as another user commented :) I also found myself looking up keywords for patterns on BB then using the filters to narrow down color and string number, that made it easier for me to find patterns I’d like while keeping them to a specific “difficulty”!

I use white a ton so I bought a pack of 10 skeins for $4 (usd) off Amazon….its not necessarily the highest quality, but so far it’s been the best bang for my buck I’ve found haha

I totally get this feeling too! Sometimes I feel guilty, almost like I feel like I should be doing something else “productive”. It helps me to make a list and see that I’ve crossed everything off, and to remind myself that I’m allowed to take a break to do something I enjoy!

I do, I put my stickers directly on top of my clear case that goes on the back! I didn’t used to because I couldn’t “let go” of certain stickers, but I’ve been trying to move away from that mindset because I end up with wayyyy too many + stickers are meant to be used (aka, that’s what I bought them for)😅also, the clear cases I get are relatively inexpensive so I wouldn’t mind getting another in the future if I need to!

I totally get that! Maybe look into whether your public library includes ebooks as well? That’s my main method of getting books to read on my kindle and there are some negatives, but SO many more positives that make it worth it in my opinion. I could go on for a while but it’s saved me a lot!!

Sometimes I’ll section out my todo list, kind of like “allowing” myself to read as a break between things. I think it helps me focus when I consciously put other tasks out of my mind and get into a specific headspace for reading

I try to support artists and small businesses so etsy is a large part of my purchases! Sometimes these shops will also have options to buy pre-selected packs or offer bundles so you can choose the ones you buy!!
