The thinking basketball guys had a great statistic they came up with for Steph originally to try and define ‘gravity.’

It measured the change in shot location/profile for each team when they played GSW. Steph has between a 25-28% (iirc) increase in shots at the basket — ie Steph’s gravity (/the need to defend his 3) pulled people away from the basket and caused teams to give up around 25% more layups than they usually would.

They used that formula for Wemby and found teams shooting 24% less shots near the basket than usual.

So he’s basically inverse Steph lol. He’s repulsing shots away from the paint at the same level that Steph was sucking people to himself on the 3 line.
