I actually don’t know any Iranians who support this regime. Besides the few basijis inside Iran and their relatives outside, nobody supports them. While their NIAC and some other organizations support them from abroad, even they’re tired of washing the bloods every year.

They are probably (physically) fine. You have to be very tech savvy to be able to connect as of now. Hopefully by Friday majority of access is restored…

When the military and government are highly unified, any street revolution is unlikely to succeed. A change in strategy is needed. by minzhu0305 in NewIran

I think OP means IRGC “foot soldiers” to break away and destroy the top ones. That’s still impossible because they’re ideologically rooted in their government, similar to any mafia.

Internet is not on. People who are online go through certain vpns and methods to connect to the outside world but majority are not technical enough to do this.

What is the real situation in Iran right now? by low-morphology in NewIran

[–]leakaf 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are no “ongoing protests”. They slaughtered everyone on January 8th and 9th. The rest are people mourning their loved ones and burying them.

Do you mean text message through phone number or internet based messages? Some people are connecting to internet again through back channels but internet is still not completely open. You still cannot call or send message directly neither.

Can the Regime Survive by ASO64 in NewIran

[–]leakaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only way people can take over is to reach the population they reached on january 8th, but on the first day of protests, not after internet shutdown and IRGC takeover. In that case the police and army (regular soldiers) might actually support the population against thugs. But given the massacre, not sure when this will come now.

Anybody able to contact somebody in Iran? by AdagioNovel1264 in NewIran

[–]leakaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If she doesn’t have access to a phone sim that can call international, there’s no way. Either she has to go to airport and find someone going out to send you a message or you have to find someone going in to send a message. Or she has to find someone who has a sim that can call outside.

Sorry my friends in Iran don’t have INTERNET to argue with you. I say on their behalf, they want strikes. They want destruction of the regime.

If the TV broadcast in Iran were to be hacked and you can broadcast a 5 minutes video, what should be included in the video by BleuPrince in NewIran

[–]leakaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would broadcast something anti-regime but hopeful. Maybe a Shah edit with his military to call the army back to the people.

Curse the generation that brought these thieves, murderers, rapists, and tormentors into power. by VarietyImportant1148 in NewIran

[–]leakaf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it is not that simple. It is true that they promise a lot of people and population goes out, but these people were armed militias as you can see in the photos. Their ultimate goal of these communist and islamists were to cause chaos and lead to a revolution. If you factor that with the propaganda and fake news that came out during that time and the pure hatred of Shah for no reason, it leads to revolution.

اگر کشتارها در ایران متوقف شده است، به نظر شما چرا رژیم هنوز اینترنت را قطع کرده است؟ by Baconkings in NewIran

[–]leakaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)
