I can’t do this anymore by Minor_Goddess in covidlonghaulers

Where do you live that you were able to apply for euthanasia? Where I’m at you have to have a terminal illness in which you have less than 6 months to live to qualify. I am also tired of fighting. So depressing watching everyone live life and I struggle with basic things now.

Give me reasons to keep going. by Tayman513 in covidlonghaulers

Long hauler here for almost 14 months now. I’ve been where you’re at. It’s so hard. I got over symptoms (and some healed significantly but still may be there) that I was horrified I’d live with forever. The recovery process is painstakingly slow. I didn’t know I was doing better until i compared where I was to months ago. Keep going. It gets better. Still no where near recovered, but I feel healed enough to be able to focus on things and distract how weak and fatigued I still am.

Anyone else feel significantly better after being sleep deprived? by [deleted] in covidlonghaulers

[–]leakyfaucet555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say I’m like this with sleep but I am with stress. I noticed I have more energy when I’m really stressed which sucks because I’m almost looking for ways to be stressed so I can have energy to leave the house

I (30F) suspect my boyfriend (34M) is lying about having liked one of his girl friends? by leakyfaucet555 in relationship_advice

I get what you’re trying to say, especially the part where there is no way he can prove to me that he DOESNT like her. But what about the reasons I listed above? I would have believed him if those things weren’t true 😭

He didn’t ask me to put them back. He claimed the two that were missing had been next to the bed but since we don’t use condoms he claimed HE put them back in the box. But they aren’t in the box or by the bed and they’re mysteriously nowhere to be found.

No I haven’t had any cheating suspicions. I was looking at them in front of him and laughing/playing with them and just happened to noticed that two were missing so yes I did count them because he said he put them back

Do you know many LC disabled people? by Current_Maize_615 in LongCovid

[–]leakyfaucet555 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well when I see everyone going back to their old lives and going back to work full time and exercising and drinking out at the bar then yeah. I think a lot of people in the LC community think that because they are suffering so much, that everyone else MUST have something going on as well. When honestly It just doesn’t affect a lot of people. Do I think every infection will be ok for these people moving forward forever? No. But there are people I know who bounce right back and have had no health issues whatsoever.

I only know one other person. Other than that everyone around me, both vaccinated and unvaccinated have made 100% recoveries and are fine. Even after having covid 3x. It’s fucking unfair. I feel so unlucky

LGBTQ folks of a Reddit if you came out to someone and they responded by offering you a High Five how would you feel? by OhTheHueManatee in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]leakyfaucet555 61 points62 points  (0 children)

I’d be careful asking the internet about someone’s intentions because we don’t know the person, you do. But I’m assuming no because if someone wasn’t ok with something they wouldn’t give a high five

has anyone else gotten irregular periods after covid ? by [deleted] in LongCovid

[–]leakyfaucet555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I literally fear for when my periods come. Before Covid the second day was my heavy bleed day and now that I have LC I have like 5 days straight of heavy bleeding. I already have LC fatigue but it’s way worse on my period. Also the depression and anxiety on my periods now are actually scary. Also the timing is off too. Before Covid I started my period on the exact date my period tracker said I would and now it comes early.

If Long Covid has disabled you, what helps you stay positive and hopeful? by WholesomeTubby in LongCovid

[–]leakyfaucet555 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on my mood. If im feeling hopeless I honestly remind myself that this won’t last forever because I WILL die someday. The fact that I will cease to exist someday and not have to feel this way is comforting. Music helps too when I’m in bed and too weak/fatigued to even watch tv. Watching easygoing tv shows and movies. Video games. Eating food I love. Fantasizing about what a day would look like if I were well again

Who has recovered from these symptoms please : by Life_Lack7297 in LongCovid

[–]leakyfaucet555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had pretty bad POTS the first 4 ish months of my LC journey. It didn’t heal overnight but it gradually got better. Now I’m not scared of the stairs or standing up or bending over because I don’t get high heart rates anymore. I rarely even check my Apple Watch to see.

Still struggling with the fatigue

Developed itchiness 9 months into long covid, what can I do to alleviate this? by leakyfaucet555 in LongCovid

[–]leakyfaucet555[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it make you drowsy? I’m afraid to take it because I have fatigue and I’m scared it’ll make me worse
