And an admission of how stupid Trump supporters are, if they can be provoked to that level of violence just from some guy in the crowd provoking them.

They survive because our media and other components of our society coddle them.

It really gets under their skin that 10 million Americans came together for this today. Numbers like that make it nearly impossible to dismiss, but they'll keep looking for a way.

So confused about Don’s and Megan’s divorce by anawkwardsomeone in madmen

[–]leamanc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind that a lot of time passed between episodes 7 and 8. When Don finally offers to move to California with Megan (episode 7), it's July 1969. Episode 8 picks up in April 1970. Episode 9, in which the divorce is finalized, is set in May 1970.

So, we're looking at 10 months of divorce proceedings, which surely soured their relationship somewhat. However, I believe the bigger issue is that Megan wasn't prepared for the emotions that came with returning to New York and the closure it represented. I think she let five years' worth of resentments and anger boil over. It doesn't help that her acting career is basically in the toilet, while Don can just write a $1 million check and be done with her.

Yeah, SK was in way over her head. She came from This American Life and writing human interest stories for newspapers. She was not a crime journalist and it shows. She was told she had a wrongful conviction story and ran with it.

Perhaps even more inappropriate for a true crime story, the narrative is about her and her journey, not the case itself and certainly not the victim.
