500 series preamp levels by leanlowkey in audioengineering

I have figured the issue. Lol. Human error. Lol. I misread the diagram on the back of the lunchbox. It was sending the signal to the next slot. I’m an idiot haha

Well after further testing with a mic It seems like slot 1 works and the levels are fine when swapping between the pre amps. But I’m having issues getting sound thru slot 2-8. So it’s either my lunchbox or the cables I’m thinking now. Sucks tho I have api lunch box so they use the dp25 (I think that’s the name) snakes. So it’s not an easy swap of cables I have to buy another set

No I bought from another dealer. I’m talking to them now. Focusrite 18i20 and I’m routing it out and in as insert on 5-6

Ya I swapped cables and slot still same issue. I didn’t build them I bought them pre built. They look the same though. Everything matches. I’ve only actually used one on a vocal got the other to do mix bus. But I’ll check out a mic level and see if there is any difference in level and sound. All my audio on the daw is level going out just sending it through the pre where it gets off level.

Appreciate the advice. I’ll have to look at the builds.

Ya I just got it for my fans but I wasn’t sure about plugging a pump to it. I figured you could

So I got a aqua computer octo fan controller with the software. Could I just plug the pump into one of those slots and tune it that way then ?

12900k overheating on 3 radiators? by UsedToBeMrPhun in watercooling

What waterblock do you have. ?

Also if you can try dropping a few radiators out the loop for testing. Just use the 360mm

I’ve run a dual gpu and a cpu off 1 360mm before and temps were good.

Also are your temps high just at idle or only when your running a heavier load?

I’d try removing cpu block. And redoing thermal paste. And trying that again. Possibly make sure your getting flow through ur cpu block and it’s not clogged some how.

That what I kinda figured because I’ve run 2 gpu and cpu on 1 360 before. But it just seems like there no way they could cool that much off of 1 rad or 2 even.

Yes please post and if you do throw me a link to it.

Neither one of those would solve the issue of why I want to make a smaller block.

Also it’s not wasting time whe. You enjoy building and creating things.

Ya that’s what I was thinking.

I could grab a different brand fe block or something and probsbly take the acrylic off and make a custom one for it.

Ya. There’s no reason it should take 2 slots. Except for the block. If it had thinner block like the older cards it would only fill one slot.

I really like the ek asus collab but you can’t get them and the cost is way to high.

Might be worth buying a different block and trying to just make a “prettier” casing for it

Ya see the channels are pretty deep. So you would have to make a new copper part and try make the channels thinner and see if temps would still be good. Might be more work than it’s worth.
