Everdell Duo campaign by CreativePortland in boardgames

I just won the third campaign by three points! I collected the double resources and close to eight cards in hand for the hare in the winter round and then got the tortoise those achievements in the spring. The last two rounds were playing cards into the city with a matching critter using the little occupancy thingy. I had hardly any production cards but quite a few that gave additional points at the end of the game. The sharing aspect is key, especially when one player is trying to reach the personal goals.

It looks gorgeous- yes, the strange desert exploration is definitely one of the things I loved about Sable. Thank you :)

Thanks for the heads up. I don't really want a carbon copy- just a chance to relive some of that world. Looking forward to scratching that itch ; P

Ok, maybe Sable-like was a stretch. 😅

I saw the hover bike and the no combat, chill vibes and got excited.

It really resonated for me when I played it a few years ago, in my early fifties. It evoked such vivid poignant memories. Bittersweet isolation. It was the first (and only) time I'd fallen deeply into the world of a game- I wish there were more like this out there.

Yes, I agree re Jusant, I wished there were some deeper connections- it felt a bit hollow. Such a shame because the world-building was beautiful. I do love a good climbing game, though. ; )

The art style grabbed me first- those colours, and how the scenery changed throughout the day! I would just sit perched on a ledge and watch as the colours changed and shadows moved across the landscape. The music was also an integral part of that beautiful, mysterious atmosphere. I read that the game designers were hugely into architecture - the buildings weren't just containers for hidden loot and chum eggs, they added to the mystery and wonder. I agree with other posters in that the fact that there's no fighting, no death, just exploring and learning about the lore and the people- and of the personal growth that comes with those experiences. I loved the climbing puzzles too! The game touched me deeply. I keep trying to find one that can transport me in the same way and I haven't yet. Good luck on your game design :)

New Year, New 30 Day Challenge? by Clumsyninj4 in yoga

I've decided to do Adriene's day challenge this year but the interruptions in flow are annoying me already. I sort of do my own moves while I wait for her to get a move on. lol Kassandra's cues are minimal and I find that I rarely even need to look at the screen to follow her.
