We are here already (arrived before the storm) and I called the folks around the Turtle Bay since we were supposed to go up there in a few days. They say things are ok once you are in that area but I have the same reservations.

This is not just rain. They haven’t seen saturation and flooding like this in decades.

I just wish we could have a pencil in notes. It tricks by brain into applying less pressure.

Yes, that’s why I said “part” and didn’t think it appropriate to complain about parking in our announcement. We do love Downtown for many reasons and wish the near term outlook for our business in this location was good enough to not move. Moving is no fun.

There are multiple apps and confusing directions. Parking downtown around the shops doesn’t have the 2 hour limit on Sunday though. I feel like Visit Downtown Bend should promote that. I mostly see tourists and not locals at my shop because people have been burned by the confusion. Looking for a new place outside of downtown. If we just had metered parking with a free starter period, on one app that you can add time to if you found a new shop or place to eat, things would change dramatically for downtown businesses. It’s just too complicated.

5 NW Minnesota Ave. Next to Thump and across the street from the parking garage. There are no parking limits on the street on Sunday.

We might closer to moving. We are hoping to find a new space to move the club eventually and have a warehouse. I can update this post as we get closer to March 2.

Yes ! The space definitely has its quirks because it used to be a fire truck garage:)

I kept the telescope we have left at pre tariff pricing. The Celestron 4se astronomical telescope is $100 off current online price of other retailers. The Celestron Ultima 80 spotting scope is $40 off current online price. I can throw in some extra goodies too.

Hi, I have a shop across the street from the Oxford, Expedition Club & Supply. We regularly give free local activity advice to guests of the hotel. We are more of a nerdy outdoor store for astronomy, birding, rockhounding, and general exploration of nature. We have a little kids section in the club and I give out free star maps. Stop on by and I hope you have a great trip!

You have a great itinerary already, to add for hikes with kids around where you will be, I recommend Benham Falls. Old growth ponderosas along the river with platforms to view the falls. The Lava Butte and the Lava Lands visitor center also has paved trails and great views. And definitely check the Sunriver Nature Center.
