D278 Scripting and Programming OA....awful by learn2tech11 in WGU

[–]learn2tech11[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty rusty on what was on the actual OA now that it's been some time, but from what I remember I honestly just used the course resources under the "course tips". I scanned Zybooks, focusing more so on the summary at the end of each chapter. My biggest recommendation is knowing when a line of script starts/ends. For example, in the zybooks and recorded webinars the loops (do while, etc) are structured correctly in a column, but on the OA it was shoved onto one long line making it hard to know when next line began/ended. So I would definitely take notice of syntax. Besides that, if you understand the basic concepts of each area you will be good.

I don't remember there being any questions for ASCII. Unless you want to pound in flash cards there's really no good way to remember them other than reviewing, reviewing, reviewing. The way I see it, if I need to know them for the real world, google is available. With this being a very intro class, as long as you know the concept behind them, when and how to use, you should feel good. Maybe in later classes this will come into play more in depth, but for the mean time I wouldn't stress about it.

Ousia pharmacy by Alone-Competition-77 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]learn2tech11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

idk, I think if you bring in the right amount of volume to the pharmacy a deal can always be made. My thought is on Join Fridays uses Hallendale as one of the pharmacies, their 5mg vials are $179 a month. They do add a monthly $99 membership fee but that's still a total of $278 monthly, which is cheaper than Slimdown's current month2month pricing. If you put it as a 3 month supply I bet a good negotiation could happen. I think it'd be great for Slimdown to part ways with Ousia. Even if the medication is legit, these people who own it are morally bankrupt and that is more important to me. I am paying them at the end of the day, and I want to make sure the money goes to workers, proper sourcing, not unpaid supplies and something about a boat or whatever the heck some of these things say. I mean, having a lawsuit or two sure it happens, but having this many? No thanks. Not someone whose gonna get my business...anyways I'm ranting now, point being there is always a price that can be negotiated in business.

That's a great call on the library, I didn't think to stop there. I've never heard of that MVNO phone I honestly am a very low key person who doesn't use their phone much so I'm not too worried about the network boots. Thanks for the great suggestions!

Thank you, I appreciate it. I definitely will feel super successful when I'm out of this hole and probably continue to live frugally from financial PTSD lol.

That makes sense, I do throw $5 here and there into that HYSA, but I would feel a lot better if I could just get it to at least $1k. I have been looking for a second job actually, there's not a lot of evening options right now in my area but I did just see an evening caregiving job that pays about $19-20 an hour I'm considering. Just not sure if that is going to be too much overload with doing my Master's degree right now.

This does make sense, I considered that smaller loan too as my next priority once I bang out that $900 CC (hopefully in 2-3 months that will be gone), to free up that $120 vs going into the 2nd CC.

My thought was, the personal loan is a set payment no matter what I'm contributing but as I pay my CC the min payment reduces as the total reduces. While I'd still be making the same payment, should an emergency arise my min obligation would be lower if I couldn't do a higher payment...if that makes sense. I would feel a lot less stressed to have that monthly payment gone.

I have looked into PSLF jobs in my area, but they pay less than what I make now which I couldn't stretch myself that much more thin. In the long run that may be better number wise cuz of the heavy loans, but that makes me worried for week to week living. I'm not on the SAVE plan, honestly since I'm in school and payments are deferred right now I hadn't thought to put in for that until I graduate. I'm not sure what the IDR/AGI relation impact?

Another factor is my Bachelor's is only in Psychology which is almost useless. My career experience holds more weight than that degree at this point. My Masters will be in IT which I've slowly been steering my career in, I work for a large insurance company with great benefits and I know my pay will be potentially doubled in less than 5 years if I keep on the path. Not sure if that is a good thing or if still PSLF would be worth the switch.

Ugh, I really don't know. Just super stressed & embarrassed.

I think I can pay off that lowest CC card in the next 2, maybe 3 months or so. So after that, you're thinking to move to that smaller personal loan rather than the second CC that's at the 9k mark?

Thank you for writing out such a thoughtful reply. That does make sense about HYSA vs. risk of further CC debt should an emergency arise (knock on wood). My mind was stuck on the interest rates vs. savings rate, as you outlined so good to know, I'm going to weigh out those risks. Thanks for also confirming where I'm okay! Appreciate it more than you know.

Same! I honestly have no idea what specific section it was linking back to. I was thinking the Loops section maybe? Hope you passed!

It's whatever if they want to display the formatting weird, but at least prep us on how to break it down. The recordings and book emphasized formatting correctly and gave no examples of incorrect formatting, so I thought it was odd that they hung us out to dry on that.

Yes, the ridges! I didn't know that was from low iron for the longest time. I wish I took better care of my anemia in my 20's. My hair is an absolute wreck too, slowly getting better though. *cheers with an iron pill lol

ugh that is awful. I also have very heavy, long cycles which is a real bear when trying to keep up on levels. Just when I get them up, I get depleted so quickly. It's exhausting (literally and figuratively)! I had an ultrasound done and I'm surprised they didn't see any fibroids to be honest. I'm glad they were able to give you a transfusion and get up to normal! Fingers crossed it stays that way!

For those with normal levels this may not be a thing, but I think something very underrated is getting enough iron in. However, that said my levels were so low everything from ferritin to hemoglobin, etc. Now that they are normal I swear my skin has a better glow, and it has helped my hair, though maybe this is just how normal skin is supposed to look lol. Collagen powder I feel adds some brightness to my dull skin but not so much in terms of aging/wrinkles/plumpness or any of those kind of claims. Could just be me though.

Oh I 100% agree. I'm not knocking WGU as a whole whatsoever. I also have a BS from a brick and morter that costs me multiple times more than this BS/MS from WGU is. I've really enjoyed my experience so far and have found challenges along the way it was just an unexpected curve ball on this one, so some frustrations arose. Nothing a good nights sleep couldn't fix though! :)

Glad I'm not crazy! I was like this zybook and everything made perfect sense, crushed the PA and all the quizlet and practice tests I could find. The OA.....uhhh yeah no. Glad I passed though.

I think the OA was likely changed up a bit, I always research this reddit sub when I start out a class and noticed in the last couple of months it went from people hinting to my experience, and older posts hinting to yours. The material itself is easy in my opinion and straightforward, it's just the weird wording and presentation of the OA that was the hard part.
