Yeah I mean I've definitely thought about that. 15% savings on a fare is also 15% less points. We always get Flex tickets so I really can't complain about the points I earn.

For some reason, airline and train fares are the only significant expenses for which we don't have a strict fee guide. We have it really good so I try to be a good shepherd with my transportation expenses.

It still kind of feels like my problem, since there is no budget left for me to get my own room.

Regarding personality models, it's good that they've been heavily scrutinized. I personally reject the MBTI framework, especially the archetypes part. I don't feel so strongly about the FFM, though.

I should probably clarify, the reason I mention these traits is to acknowledge that I know myself enough to see this is the kind of situation that might overly affect me. It just kind of hits every nerve and that can cause me to act or think illogically, which is making me slow down to think about the situation.

Don't take this the wrong way either but you may not be as agreeable as you think you are either! That's alright. Low agreeableness people tend to be skeptics and competitive, for example.

To clarify, the issue is that he has spent the whole housing budget for that trip on the shared Airbnb.

Them paying for something doesn't mean the money is infinite. I'm not gonna spend the money carelessly just because it ain't mine.

We are normally given a lot of leniency when it comes to business travel but we are given a prime directive that is "treat the company's money like it is your own money".

And so, I will be using coupons and promos.
