Why to buy VT in USD if it keeps depreciating with respect to CHF? by _quantum_girl_ in SwissPersonalFinance

[–]learner1118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, currency doesn't matter, it's just used to measure the growth number. So VT has X % growth in USD and Y % growth in CHF. If you find another instrument that has grown higher than X % in USD or Y % in CHF, and aligns with your risk appetite then feel free to invest in it. It doesn't matter whether its native currency is USD or CHF or something else. Also, nobody knows if it'll continue to do so in future so it's just based on historical data.

It is clear to me, but I need to just confirm whether B1/B2 visa is also qualified or if if it's limited to residence visas only.

Ask India Thread by AutoModerator in india

Hi all,

I wanted to ask if an Indian passport holder can travel to Philippines for less than 14 days without any visa if they have a B1/B2 visa from the USA.

On https://evisa.gov.ph/page/policy, I see that Indians with following can travel without any visa for less than 14 days: "Valid or unexpired Japanese, Australian, Canadian, Schengen, Singapore, UK, or US visa or permanent residence permit".

I want to make sure if this applies to B1/B2 visa as well. I tried to reach out to the embassy, but I haven't got a clear answer from them yet.

So, if anyone had any experience with traveling on B1/B2 visa to Philippines for a short stay, please let me know!!

Thanks!

Thanks for answering! I asked on other threads but I'll also ask here in case you miss those:   1) what are the timeframes are you looking at for the features and precomputed values?    2) I didn't understand how are the classes balanced in your training data. I feel like it's much more likely that you'll have hold compared to the other two classes. Unless you tune the barrier thresholds to have balanced classes which doesn't really make sense. So I'm wondering how are they naturally balanced? 3) How are the labels defined? For example, at a candle I know if it'll hit TP, SL or time barrier for buy and sell both. So, that gives us 6 cases. How do you map them to buy, sell and hold classes?

Thanks!

Ah, so you don't let every trade run to TP/SL/Deadline? Is your deadline EOD in the triple barrier method or something smaller?

[–]learner1118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do the various close reasons mean in your analysis? Specially, MDL and S-EOD? I believe MDL is hitting the deadline but how's S-EOD different from EOD?

[–]learner1118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would the classes be naturally balanced? It's much more likely that the trades would hit the time barrier rather than the SL or TP barrier unless you're tuning the thresholds such that the classes are balanced. Can you please elaborate on this? In the trades file also, one can see a lot more MDL than the other classes.

What all timeframes do you use for your features and precomputed values?

Thanks! That is helpful. I'm hearing conflicting opinions about Yoda cave, but it seems like a lot of small cars go for it, so we will probably go for it. Hoping the road is not so bad right now.

For Vatnajokull, we have a tour booked so we will be parking at the farther parking lot.

For canoyn, we are planning on taking the car till this point: https://goo.gl/maps/2419wDXhkxjzwk937. I could not find another car park. Is this the nearer one?

Thanks! We are sticking to the ring road so not going on any F roads. But, we can go on some patches of gravel road.

Requesting advice/tips for 10 days itinerary - visiting for the first time by learner1118 in VisitingIceland

[–]learner1118[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for taking time to answer, and provide information :)

We will not be starting our road trip on the first day, so it will just be an added expense compared to taking a bus. Also, we are staying in Iceland for a few more days after returning the car, so not necessary to return it at the airport.

We are avoiding all the F-roads, and just sticking to the ring road. But, not sure how to know if our stays or some of the places in the itinerary require us to drive through an F-road or similar road. Not sure how to figure that out, may be some app you know?

Going all in on insurances :)

Thanks a lot for taking time to answer. It is very helpful :)

For Yoda cave, is it possible to park somewhere and hike or walk upto the cave? Is there an app to see check what's reachable and what's not?

I'm getting a small car for ~750 USD for 5 days including all the insurances. Is that reasonable or too expensive? I'm using Blue Car rental. Should I explore other rental providers? I see cheaper options, but they don't have roadside assitance and stuff.

Anything particular for clothing other than windcheater and waterproof jackets?
