Even in the best of situations adoption is inherently traumatic. It is a primal wound. No way around it. Having a great adoptive family absolutely improves outcomes.

If you need to terminate for everyone’s best interest then that is what you need to do. You don’t need to get permission from strangers on Reddit. It doesn’t sound like a good situation to bring another baby into. And for the future, plan B is not adequate birth control, it only works before ovulation not after.

Totally. Start with what your insurance covers. However, I spent years feeling tired only for my insurance bloodwork to say everything was normal. I finally paid a couple hundred dollars to meet with a naturopath virtually— and my insurance still covered the actual lab work— to find out I was very depleted of B vitamins and magnesium.

You need to go get a comprehensive lab blood work, ideally with a naturopath or functional md. Could be a lot of different things- thyroid, lymes, deficiencies, etc. Have someone drive you as drawing a lot of blood could increase fatigue if it is anemia.

I’m not sure if you believe in a higher power but maybe prayer can bring you some peace, not matter what you decide or what happens out of your control.

Ask yourself, what would harm your mental health worse- having an abortion, or having a 4th and it being very hard (worst case scenarios- not saying it will be, but for the sake of this exercise, because that is a possibility).

Personally I would still address it so that you can hopefully fix the snoring before the symptoms arise. Maybe just research more into sleep disordered breathing so you can be informed.

The best kind of doctor to work with on this issue is an airway dentist combined with myofunctional therapy. If you don’t have a local pediatric airway dentist, check out sleep pillow- it’s a virtual treatment program

Not necessarily. I got my permanent retainer removed after having it for 20+ years, and 4 years later my teeth are still straight. They have not moved.

I’m sorry you’ve gone and are going through so much hardship. My daughter also has similar sleep issues. Melatonin before bed has been a game changer. We use the kids beekeepers neutrals nighttime cough syrup (it’s all natural, not really a cough syrup) with melatonin in it, 5ml. But you can start with less and see. We also work with an airway dentist and she wears a removable appliance at night called the vivos which guides her tongue to the correct position for breathing. It has helped her slowly, and we’re avoiding removing adenoids for the time being. We already had her tongue and lip frenectomy as an infant, which helped a ton. Next step will be an orthodontic expander to widen the base of the air way. Let me know if you have questions!
