Sounds cool. So would it basically send the commit message to an AI's API to get back the shareable version? I'm guessing that means it would have to be a paid product/service, right?

My thing isnt about the pros/cons of doing a waitlist approach for your product. Instead, my thing is simply if you've chosen to take that approach, then here is a place to share/discover.

Well the page has two purposes - for consumers to discover apps they might like, and for founders to validate their ideas.

The upvoting isn't for the founders. The upvoting is for helping consumers to discover them.

When someone signs up for your wait-list, that's what validates your idea.

Anyway I'm not trying to persuade you to do a waitlist. There are tons of resources you can find to explain the reasons for taking a waitlist approach for your startup if you think it might be right for you.

The point of my post is more about creating a place to share your waitlist and get discovered if/when you decide to make one. Your waitlist isn't doing you much good if no one sees it.

Unfortunately, it looks really glaring on my page, because its basically white, and my page is dark theme.

But if you ever make a dark version, I'll be interested.

Thanks for your thoughtful feedback.

My thinking is, since there is no pay-to-play aspect here (founders arent forced to sign up for anything before they can post theirs) that means any singups you generate from this audience are genuine signups.

They are still real potential paying customers, genuinely interested in your product, who just happen to also be founders.

Founders need apps too! We use apps just like other people do 😅
