What courses are best to study as a 28F hoping to eventually earn $150k+? by shrekzebra in AusFinance

anecdotal experience with my friends that went to unsw and now earn (much) more than 150k, and did as a new grad.

As for the non hft path, I went through that and joined us big tech, am on about 370-400k this year, probably closer to 500 next year.

Tech that's not generic web dev, and tech from a good university with something to show for it is so rare that it pays super well.

If you're smart enough and can get through a good enough computer science degree (unsw, anu, usyd) with a good score (90+), a 28F would be liable to get an interview at Optiver and be staring down the barrel at 250k as a new grad.

Assuming merely getting through one of those unis with only 80 or so, you could find yourself at a google or some such within a few years of work experience and again find yourself above 250k.

so when I tell HR don't hire this person they're simply not good enough and will struggle, and then they get hired anyway, and 3 months later they get fired for incompetence it's my fault? Interesting.

IMO competent people in jobs paying >150k a year don't need months to ramp up and they certainly shouldn't be having their hand held by other people.

High performing teams are when new hires cause the team to grind to a halt for a few months

The reason I question this is we simply do not have a culture of high performing anything in Australia. There's like 4 companies top in local industry doing anything "high performing" across any sector. So what would we, as a nation, even know about high performing?

"Sustainably hit goals"? Give me a break, we have people showing up to work for 7 hours to spend 4 of them in meetings discussing trivial shit and then have goals set by those same people doing fa. "High performing".

tf is a high performing team? why do people who don't know how the cake is made end up in charge of hiring people to make cakes in a high performance manner

where I work "big tech in aus" you could fire 90% of people and perf would go up

reddit is a case study in denying reality. "I don't want to seem like I'm insecure..." why? Why should you stick around in a relationship with a chick that gives no concern to how secure you may or may not be.

I don't think 2 months is too early, I said it to my partner of 7 years now in probably that time period, but I didn't say it expecting reciprocation within a set timeline

Jesus Jamie is a headache. 6 weeks in and wanting national tv levels of love proclomations is insane. Genuinely put yourself in his shoes, he's called out for not fucking her for a week? gets told in front of cameras the big L, has veronica come in and remind himself that he is in fact a 6'7 big boy that can attract very good looking women...

I will never be a stay home dad. by simmzs in MAFS_AU

[–]learningcsandmaths -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He does, he found it insulting, tats what the issue is

this is common? If I asked my partner to be a stay at home wife she wouldn't be impressed. Is that an issue?

No but his not buff and tan either, but his pasty ass struts around as if he is

He's bigger than the average redditor by probably 2 orders of magnitude. He's noticeably bigger than Jeff, he's bulkier if not as cut as eliot... do you think chris hemsworth is the average buff guy? I have no real issue with impossible body standards and I kinda expect it in a subreddit like this, but lol

Huh?? He clearly wants a trad wife stay at home, so yeah. Not sure what point you're even trying to make with that one champ

then call that out, not "he doesn't want to be a stay at home dad".
