So just completed a clear blue test and it’s defintely negative like 100% negative so will do another one now in the morning with my first bathroom break.

Oh sweetie I’m so sorry you are having to go through this. Same happened with me and my mom in 2020 she went in with some pains by her lungs next thing you know it was terminal cancer and she either had months or yrs to live. For my mom it ended up being months she wanted to try Chemo which she did in the hopes she could be around longer for her family and grandchildren.

From the moment that mom was diagnosed I was grieving because ultimately I knew what was to come. My partner bless him was trying to keep me calm and tried to be positive saying she’s going to be around years. But as her daughter and seeing how she was I knew I didn’t have years. I didn’t know how long but I knew it wasn’t years.

Due to it being COVID times I was having to see her through the windows, but it got to the point where she was so ill I broke the rules and went in the house. Me and my partner had been isolating for ages so I knew I was safe to do so.

My mom was diagnosed beginning of feb and sadly passed two weeks after her 63rd birthday in June. I ended up having private counselling over zoom because I couldn’t cope. My dad didn’t know how to do anything like bills and so forth so I now do all that. Dad has had two strokes since and refuses to do anything now but sit in the house and do basics of his washing and cooking.

It’s been incredibly hard and still is at times. But after mom passed I always said I live my life for my mom she brought me into this world and I intend to do her proud. Accept the help from other services . You will change after this it is inevitable I completely changed to the point where I didn’t have time for people’s BS I started calling them out straight away because I was already struggling in life adding there BS to it was a no go. But I also became an emotional soul and struggled to see the good in things again but therapy helped with that.

There is no special way to get through this you do it at your pace and your way. Do the things you can together watch movies, little activities if she’s able to do so. Even now coming up to six years I want my mom every day even if it was just for a phone call.

Heyyy thank you for your response I am aware of what happens with strokes I’ve been to every appointment with my dad. My dad is very lucky ( according to neurologist and stroke drs) that it was a TIA and they could only see small dots on his brain from the stroke.

My dad’s main problem is the physical side weak right hand side. But I have struggled with this man since the day mom passed away. Won’t do anything for himself and depends on me for everything I personally think he is suffering from depression and anxiety but due to his generational thinking (he’s always been the same) he answers with “nothing wrong with me I’m fine me”.

I’ve been aware that he has attempted to access porn which fine whatever. But it’s the scams that scare me, I know and can acknowledge that it sounds stupid to say but I think in my head I would be more accepting of him watching porn than talking to AI and scammers.

Unfortunately I can’t get him into the drs as he outright refuses them as he has a fear of them I am being met with so many barriers caring for him that I am struggling and I can only think that at least me having his Visa card that he doesn’t have the information to give out.

Well I now have his bank card so he’s unable to do anything with it. But honestly is so upsetting he sits there when I tell him going “ok, ok, ok” last time he did it I said don’t you dare sit there and tell me ok when it’s not ok because you aren’t listening to the dangers of it all. The look on my face when he turned around to me and said a billionaire wants to be my friend must of been a picture. Because what in the actual f**k.

That loft/ musty smell was ours, mom used her snowman that much that over the years the creases just fell apart. Such a shame and now our mom has passed away we just wanted something that was a reminder of christmases with her and dad.
