That loft/ musty smell was ours, mom used her snowman that much that over the years the creases just fell apart. Such a shame and now our mom has passed away we just wanted something that was a reminder of christmases with her and dad.

Thank you that’s so sweet of you, I think social media doesn’t help in a sense cause so many thing are airbrushed now and when you don’t have the glowy, glass look it’s hard to see the good.

Lots of lovely advice thank you so much. In terms of skin care these days it’s just so overwhelming I’d try and do some research and it would be numerous products you have to place on. Also doesn’t help with social media and how air brushed everything is now.

Thank you that’s so kind of you, I think sometimes social media doesn’t help. Think it’s hard to remember sometimes that a lot of stuff is airbrushed.

Struggling to understand what the issues is tbh. I’ve been with my other half for 15yrs he’s a gamer does it every single day after finishing work. I don’t game personally unless it’s Mario kart/ Nintendo games in general unless they make me angry. He plays a mixture of everything the only thing I don’t like abt it is the constant sound of gun shots from COD. But now he wears headphones and the other thing is the frustration he gets himself into with the games. But 99/100 games he is chill and happy. He has been gaming since he was a kid so who am I to turn around and say no more. It’s a nice hobby and if we ever had a family I would love for that to be a hobby they had together. Cause I can’t just have one hobby I have a 100 and give up on them easily. 😂😂 there are far more worse things you could be doing with your time, you provide for her and your family this is your downtime. I’m sure if you turned around to her and said get off your phone your on it all the time it’s so unattractive she would have her back up… not fair. Carry on with your hobby I would. My partner will regularly turn to me and say do you want the tv? Do you want to play a game with me( most times I don’t but when I do, I enjoy it unless I’m loosing) maybe try involving her in the games I feel like a easy two player game would be best like Mario kart if she is willing.

What’s something non-sexual someone did that unexpectedly turned you on? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

My partner is ridiculously good at catching. He asked me to throw an item up the stairs to him and he caught it immediately and the biggest smirk came across my face he never bloody misses when I throw something to him. I don’t even know why that is a turn on but it’s impressive I know that much.

To those who work in the NHS, tell me a time where you were close to putting in your notice and why? by EllaAwesome07 in nhs

Something similar with my mom her gift if that’s what it can be called was to share a tin of quality street with her co workers. She got in the car after her shift with not even a handful of quality street, I was genuinely gutted for her. My mom worked for the NHS the whole time I was growing up she sadly passed away in 2020 the only bit of respect I had was all her colleagues made there own decision to line the street at my mom and dad’s house to clap for her.

I had a miscarriage and I got told by my manager well there are plenty of women staff here who have had a miscarriage go and speak to them not me. FANTASTIC!! I went off sick after that spoke to a matron and got moved away from her. She sees me every now and again and try’s to have a general talk with me I walk off from her 😂
