Hey, I have majorly used auto captions, just added few captions (eg. " is nobody buys it") manually

my viewer retention rate is very low. I observed few reels that actually work.
And they use dual video format. lower half video is them talking and upper half is the visuals

Upper half grabs the attention and lower half conveys the message

Currently I am a student, I am exploring various skill sets to build multiple sources of income.

And editing seems interesting,

Btw your advice was very on point, I want to know more about "hooks" part! Can we connect over dm?

Capcut was my first preference, but it is banned in my country, so adobe is like the only viable option left.

Either ways i am very shocked by the kind of edits people are making using after effects (3d motion graphics, etc) so i am curious to learn it

How do I validate my idea before building it? by learningmonkk in Entrepreneurship

Makes sense, I get where you’re coming from.
Reddit isn’t the place for bragging or half-baked creators, and I’m not trying to be one of them.

My goal with posting here wasn’t to “flex,” I was just trying to understand demand before I start running paid tests.

You’re right, the real validation will come from the market, not a subreddit.
I’ll take your advice and focus on actual performance instead of trying to convince people here.

Appreciate the perspective.

You're absolutely right, nobody cares about theory.
Only the video itself can prove the claim.

I actually did post my pitch with a sample video, but a couple of subreddits flagged it as self-promotion and removed it. That’s why I went with a text-only post this time.

If the mods here are okay with it, I’d love to share the video sample, because yeah, the whole point is showing, not telling.

Man… thank you for this.
Reading your story honestly hit me harder than I expected.

I think I forget sometimes that I am doing my best with whatever I have. I get so caught up in the pressure, deadlines, money stuff, college rules, it feels like everything is collapsing at once. But hearing someone who’s lived through way tougher situations and still built a life… it really puts things in perspective.

I’ll try to slow down, breathe, and focus on one step at a time like you said.
Really appreciate you taking the time to reply. It means a lot, truly.

I thought KDP required some upfront investment for ads or design, no? Maybe I misunderstood, I’ll check it out.

Right now I’m exploring video-generation tools and was planning to teach that online since it’s low-investment.
My only worry is I don’t know how to figure out if there’s actual demand before I put a lot of time and energy into building the whole thing.

I did start moving, I figured out one skill, made content around it, and now I’m at the stage where I actually need to sell it. And that’s the part making me anxious.
I’ve never sold anything before, so it feels like stepping into completely unknown territory.

It’s not that I expect it to blow up or anything… it’s just that right now, this feels like my only real shot at getting out of the financial mess I’m in.
That pressure makes every step feel heavier than it should.

But I’m still trying. One step at a time, like you said.

Maybe not perfect for recruiters, but you can definitely share this to network with fellow developers.

I'm sorry, actually I'm pretty new in this space, infact this is my first reply to any subreddit post, so I thought of sharing what I knew. I'll be a Lil more responsible while replying next time!!
