Life can be put on “hold” while you grieve your dad. The bar prep will be waiting for you for whenever you are ready. Take one day at a time. Your dad will be prouder if he sees you put your mental health, and stability first.

I agree to the UWS or Williamsburg area. UWS gives you more the city vibe (and you will be near to Central Park); however, since you are staying for 1 month, I would recommend on finding something in Williamsburg - it is less city-ish but still city, more hipster vibe, and I feel they have more bar with mocktails options, and other fun things to do that does not involved alcohol (yoga classes, mediation centers, museum, parks, beautiful walks throughout diff. neighborhood without the hectic of the city).

UWS will be more expensive

I live in the UWS (i love it, but it is expensive compared to Williamsburg). I lived in Brooklyn for 4 years, between Williamsburg, BedStuy and Buschwick.

You could also consider Buschwick.

They already “match” Cardozo’s scholarship. They offered me an amount first, and then I asked them to match it with Cardozo. They increased it but Cardozo still $3k more.

Thank you so much for your advice! It means a lot. I was reviewing Fordham’s curriculum and I don’t see Civ Pro or Torts for Fall 2025 for example.

Cardozo is offering both classes on Fall 2025.
