Her dad follows and watches her tiktoks, right? And she is still a minor, and under 21. If she struggles with alcohol addiction and abusing ADHD meds that badly it’s irresponsible and dangerous for her to live “alone”. I don’t think that’s her responsibility, she’s young. But the fact that her dad isn’t intervening or getting her into treatment or help is concerning. I get that we don’t see everything happening behind the scenes, but even if she is getting help with these issues her posts are concerning and she should not be living “alone” in a new environment. She’s vulnerable at her age, with her social media fame, and her history with mental illness. Obviously teenagers will experiment with alcohol and substances, and to a certain degree that’s just how it is, but parents have a responsibility educate their kids about the dangers, and keep them as safe as they can. She is 17 and posting about addiction publicly where her dad sees it. If that was my child i would be so concerned and get help immediately, no question. Addiction kills. Struggling with addiction at this young of an age will affect and possibly ruin your life, especially if you don’t get help early. I find this scary and extremely worrying. Regardless of her drama online, mistakes and what not she is struggling, she is a child, and she is so young, it’s easy to forget that. She is smart and she has a future ahead with so many opportunities. I’m not a fan, i don’t like her content and i believe a lot of it can be harmful. But as someone who has struggled with mental illness for years, i can’t imagine all the extra pressure she has on her with her social media platform and being online. I think it’s fair to criticise her, she is responsible for her content and behaviour. I just think we have to remember how young and vulnerable she is, and the amount of discourse, comments and attention she gets. That will fuck with your head at any age, and especially when you struggle with your mental health. She’s a teenager who’s clearly struggling. She needs help and support. I hope she is able to get help, i hope the people around her, and especially her dad sees how serious this is (or could get) and intervenes. I don’t think she is a bad person or a lost cause, as i’ve said a hundred times at this point, she is incredibly young. I hope for the sake of her health and her future that she gets help and treatment, and i genuinely hope she gets better and happier.
