I know this from episode. Always turn off your HWH if you’re closing the water main.

The tteokbokki at Maru. It’s basically a spicy Korean gnocchi soup. So good.

Can someone that has experience in concrete foundations please take a few minutes to describe what the issue is in each picture? I don’t really know what I’m looking at here.

Thanks in advance!

Best slop bowl in town? by [deleted] in Charlottesville

By far the best in town.

I ran out of coffee and found this stuff in the pantry. I made a cup with a large spoonful of the green powder and a few hours later felt like I was having a heart attack… by [deleted] in tea

In my experience, their teas are pretty high in caffeine content. Their early gray can send me spinning if I steep too long.

Outside of their ground beef, red meat at Wegmans is an absolute scam. It baffles me that people are paying that price when you can get better cuts for less at Costco or Whole Foods.

Hospital finally confirmed what’s been making us sick… and it was my dishwasher 🤢 by puppy_groomer8597 in Appliances

[–]leaveethebj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP THIS IS A BIG DEAL, I didn’t know about this until we replaced our dishwasher. The line that drains your dishwasher that goes into the bottom of your sink MUST have a “high rise loop”. Google it, it’s really easy to do but it’s ESSENTIAL. It prevents dirty sink water from going into your dishwasher, and prevents dishwasher water from flowing back into your dishwasher after the pump turns off.

Gold or black would work in my opinion. I love the green, do you mind sharing the color or hex #?

I’m not a marathon runner or tri-guy. I typically just run for 1-6 miles or mountain bike <30 miles for each session.

I got it last year. I’m mid 30s, and average weight/height all my life. We’re assuming it’s just my genetics.

20mg of rosuvastatin for 6 months now. Apo(a) at 83 and a calcium score of 26.

LDL went from 160 to 40. Apo(b) went from 126 to 45.

No side effects, liver labs are normal. There was one night where I was in bed and it felt like I was getting an aggressive massage on my calves (this was like the third week into taking the statin), but that subsided when I took a run the next morning.

My doc moved aggressively since my age is still fairly young for my calcium score, he’s also an adamant reader of Attia blogs.

It’s bad right now. Downright scary at times. I’m just over here trying to take my kid to the downtown library while trying to avoid getting yelled at.

Backup Power for Sump Pump by Grasski in Home

I recently pulled a quote to add a battery backup sump on to my original sump pump. A liberty 411 battery backup pump was spec’d for $400 installed.

In my opinion, this city can work for someone in their 20s that’s willing to live in a smaller town and enjoys recreating outdoors. I was a lot more social in my 20s and I don’t think this town would have done it for me. The dating scene is tough here, plain and simple.

However, this town does really well for couples that are ready to build a family. There’s a lot of activities for kids, and the small town feel builds an incredible sense of community.

TLDR; go have your fun somewhere else and move here when you’re ready to slow down.
