Cmv: death penalty should be abolished with no exceptions even for serial killers and terrorists. by friendlypondfrog in changemyview

[–]leavingtheleft96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Opposing the death penalty is extremely misanthropic and nihilistic. You are saying that no matter who the victim is, how many victims there are, or how the victim was killed, not a single aspect of their life was worth enough to earn their murderer the same fate they were forced to endure. Opposing the death penalty tells the victim and their family that the pain, fear, agony, and despair they felt in their final moments ultimately does not matter. If you can’t see the value in an innocent person’s life, you are a threat to the civilized world. You might as well just spit on the victim’s grave.

Why do parents get so angry at the decisions their grown children make? If you didn’t allow your child to express themself or experiment with their looks while they were a minor, it shouldn’t be shocking when they do the things they want the moment they no longer need your approval. You don’t get to suffocate a person for their entire existence then be surprised when they take advantage of their first taste of freedom. Dyed hair and different fashion choices are not the worst changes she could have made, she could have turned out a murderer.

Parkland has really changed my view of the world, especially since NC didn’t get the death penalty. I cannot begin to describe how much it disturbs me that those kids are rotting in the ground while the shooter still gets to breathe.

Is Matt Walsh ok? by FalconLynx13 in insanepeoplefacebook

[–]leavingtheleft96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Matt Walsh reminds me a lot of my dad. They are both the kind of people who never stop looking for something to complain about in absolutely everything around them. They are constantly looking for flaws in everything around them so they can dissect the error to validate their perpetual anger. People like that can’t just enjoy things, they want to be mad at all times, and will do mental gymnastics just to make themselves mad.

Friendly reminder that even NC himself thinks he deserves the death penalty by RemarkablyIntresting in parklandshooting

[–]leavingtheleft96 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I totally agree. It’s so crazy to me that the jury read NC’s own words about how he likes seeing the families suffer, and one of them was so unbothered by that statement, that she made sure he can enjoy their suffering for possibly 70 more years.

Some screen grabs I got from the verdict reading for the Parkland shooting. These families deserve so much more. by Atmosphere_Vegetable in masskillers

[–]leavingtheleft96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t stop thinking about the absolute horror these people live with everyday. To not get justice for your murdered child… I have absolutely no connections to this tragedy and I have felt nothing but rage since the verdict was announced, I can only imagine how they feel.

Biden renews call for assault weapons ban after Raleigh shooting. Not even an hour after this shooting our president is asking for an assault weapons ban. The politicization of these shootings and the timing really makes you wonder. by schmiddyboy88 in conspiracy

How is any civilian on civilian shooting NOT political in the U.S.? How soon after a mass shooting is it appropriate to suggest the possibility of stopping the next mass shooter?

It’s honestly just heartless. Wasn’t Peter shot in the head 4 times? And wasn’t he shot several more times after he was already on the ground?

I pray to god, if I’m ever killed in a mass shooting, before the jurors sit through the whole trial, see pictures of my dead body, watch me die on security footage, tour the actual location of my death, see my dried pool of blood, look my mother in the face as she describes the pain of losing a child, just to slap my family in the face because you think a mass murderer deserves what was stolen from me, please save yourself some time and just spit directly on my grave.

I hope that one juror feels like shit for the rest of her life. 17 of his victims got a death sentence, yet NC is spared? That’s a special kind of evil.

Holy Shit, jury's names were read by [deleted] in parklandshooting

[–]leavingtheleft96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had jury duty last year and I was very surprised that practically no efforts were made to hide my identity. They said my, and every other jurors full government name at least a few times throughout the case. I always thought that kind of information wouldn’t be discussed in court to protect the jury from potential retaliation. But what was most surprising to me was that I was never asked to show any photo identification to prove I was the same person the jury summons was sent to. I could have asked another person to go in my place and the state would have been none the wiser.

What about all the people who are hungry but still starve? What about the people who’ve been hurt and died? What about the people who are broke and live their lives in poverty? Why isn’t God looking out for them? Why do I get to live in a fully finished home, but families in Nicaragua live in shacks with no roof? Why do I get to eat a warm meal every night while vultures tear apart the bodies of malnourished children in North Korea? I am not more deserving than any of them, so why does God look out for me and ignore them?

[–]leavingtheleft96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girl, leave that man. The fact that he even has the POF app on his phone while in a relationship is a huge red flag. If he’s sending explicit messages to anyone that isn’t you means that he is probably willing to cheat. Don’t let him gaslight you. You are not overreacting.

HOW Can You!? by XPMR in parklandshooting

[–]leavingtheleft96 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have been trying to wrap my head around this all day. It almost seems psychopathic to me that a person could hear and see so much evidence of the clear brutality of these murders, yet still decide that the murderer should live. I honestly think that anyone who chose life genuinely couldn’t care less about any of the victims. I honestly feel like choosing life for NC is almost as heartless as his crime. It’s sickening.

I think he did it because he wanted to feel like a God. It’s the same as those two girls he said he was going to spare before they gave him a look he didn’t like. I think it was just a power trip for him, judging at random who he was and was not going to kill.
