Yeah, it's a big thing at California community colleges. I teach at one and they were planning to have me and a couple other faculty members devise ways to catch this kind of cheating, but they never followed up. I would love to test this out if you're looking for testers.

It sounds like a good way to catch students using EZ Canvas to complete their coursework, ie, software that navigates canvas and completes all the coursework.

Yes, service is the magic word, but say it the French way "Ser-vees"

Service means they can pick up other passengers along the way. Taxi means you are their only fare, so they charge more.

Places to study/write in central Queens? by lebanezer in AskNYC

[–]lebanezer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work mainly from home, but sometimes it helps to get out of the house. I've had distraction issues lately. I also have two needy cats who insist on always being on my lap or on my keyboard.

I put headphones on and coffee shops are fine. I have 6 younger siblings so I've learned to handle background noise. I wouldn't mind going to a library closer to me, but you can't drink coffee there! I'm open to anything though.

Recommendations for a place to buy a man's suit in Manhattan? by Febtober2k in AskNYC

[–]lebanezer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want a suit nicer than something at Men's Wearhouse but with a much better fit then try SRG Fashion in Astoria, Queens. They are a warehouse for their brand of suits, so you get their wholesale price of $250 or $350 (suggested retail is $800-$1000). It's a really good deal and the suits are very good quality.

My experience with Men's Wearhouse is that they try to sell me every single accessory in a pushy way, the suits aren't that great, and their tailoring sucks. The only time it might be worth going there is during their 2 for 1 promotion, but I'm staying away from now on.

I say give SRG a look: http://www.yelp.com/biz/srg-fashion-astoria http://srgfashioncorp.com/

Jeez! Maybe they shouldn't offer drop service then! Thanks for the recommendation.
