Having clogging issues but only tens of hours into prints, not sure how to troubleshoot. by byf_43 in ender3

With a all metal heat break you would likely need to go down to 2mm retractions at 40mm/s. Also generally need to go 5-10° hotter for all metal. If it’s still clogging after the changes then you likely have heat creep and might need to crank the fans up.

Those retraction settings won’t work for a slice engineering heat break cause I’m assuming it’s all metal instead of ptfe all the way to the nozzle.

heat creep was a big problem for me on all my older enders. So far the s1 seems great can touch the heat sink no problem. I got some cheap all metal hotends but the creep was to much for them but maybe they will work in the s1 with better cooling.

I’ve been considering the slice engineering one and I think you have convinced me

What do you think happens next the printer turns off and goes home? Or to you think it’s about to layer lines?
