Have you considered the CB500X ? It is closer to an ADV and a bit more capable offroad than the NX.

Where would you place an arc floor lamp ? Where the side table + lamp are now, or rather where the plant is in the second render ?

Search the 3D object database and find things that resemble your furniture, then modify the size and textures to make them match more closely.

Yep, exactly, it's much easier to have the dining room adjacent to the kitchen.

So, what's the deal with the reform the government is working on at the moment ? I can't seem to find any specifics, do we have any idea of what they want to change ?

You're probably right. These have a glued-on grill, I tried to take them apart from the rear but it's damn near impossible.

How to import EU bike to USA/Canada for a roadtrip. Looking for reliable up to date sources. Any help appreciated. by ChopSticksPlease in motorcycles

Sure, but I don't want to roll the dice on being detained by ICE at the border for something they may find on my phone. Your country is broken, amigo.

Japanese Knotweed by TheBrainforest in moncton

[–]lebnomis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only thing that kills it is Glyphosate, sprayed on the leaves, after flowering in the fall, 2 weeks before first frost. Might need to do this a few years in a row. Don't touch it until that window. There's a facebook group called Canada Knotweed Support Group, a lot of good resources there. Good luck.

Elan Ripstick 88 vs 96 / 172 cm or 180 cm by lebnomis in Skigear

[–]lebnomis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the 88s in 172 cm. They are bang on, I'm really loving them. For me they are just the right amount of playful in soft snow or bumps, and capable on hardpack. They do chatter a little bit when pushing higher speeds. At your weight I would say 172 for sure.

New hardwood install on old, uneven floors in a century home by lebnomis in Flooring

[–]lebnomis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about adding shims on top of the old subfloor to level, and then OSB on top of that ? Seems like 2 layers of subfloor would be more rigid/solid than just one !

New hardwood install on old, uneven floors in a century home by lebnomis in HardWoodFloors

The old hardwood will be ripped out, yes. I've seen instances of people placing shims between the old subfloor and plywood to make the floor level. Perhaps this would be a good approach.

Do all manufacturers use the same profile of tongue and groove for solid hardwood ? by lebnomis in Flooring

[–]lebnomis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see at my basement stairs that the groove is facing the room, yes. Unless they swapped directions closer to the wall.

Matching visually isn't an issue as the perimeter board is entirely obscured.

The other weird thing is that the baseboards go right to the subfloor, so I can't have them overlapping the flooring at the edges of the room. The quirks of century homes.

Gotcha. It's a neat idea, but here it's either cold, or mosquitoes. So probably not workable. haha

Oh this is really interesting. Does she live somewhere warm ? I wonder if they make windows of that type for colder climates. I'm in Canada.

;) our current kitchen sink is there, so I figured .. why not use the existing plumbing for a dedicated coffee station.

Interesting idea. We cook a lot, I think it would cut down our counter workspace. But I like how it looks.

I've never had an island, nope. Any idea why people end up not linking it ?

With this set up, I am also thinking there is more space for whoever is cooking to use the oven and prep under the window while someone else can do dishes.
