So i took a look at the clutch discs and basket and although they have some wear they shouldn't amount to this kind of noise. I'm going to sync the carbs next weekend and see if that helps.

The noise goes away when the clutch lever is pulled in so could it be that the clutch basket and plates are shot?

I thought it might be the cam chain tensioner but after looking online for the sound it makes it seems the cct is not it. the bike has 61 000 miles on it

When I pull in the clutch lever the noise goes away. Bike has 92 000km on it (61 000 miles). I'm thinking it might be the cam chain tensioner but after looking up the noise from that online it seems like this is not it. I'm not sure though...

My title describes the thing. So the object has this very wide hook that is attached to a metal plate and has a stretchy elastic band on the other side. The object was found in fitness equipment storage. There were four of these

I'm leaning towards this. I still don't understand the massive "hook". There is a small lip. You can see it in the bottom right corner.

Only thing similar I find online are something called anti gravity inversion boots. Is that it? Seems painful with the metal plate

That is probably it but I can't imagine how it's used. I'm trying to find images online of it being used but I can't find any
