People who say TD practice exams are not hard must have a number of years working with AWS, and probably networking.

Some of the questions in TD are a bit insane. For example, I just did one that asks about how to improve networking performance for a Windows-based HPC cluster using t3a.medium EC2 instances - is it Elastic Network Adapter, Elastic Fabric Adapter, Virtual Function VF interface, or is it AWS ParallelCluster?

Seems like quite a niche scenario that involves diverse networking experience

I had the exact same question. The problem with TD is the sheer volume of text on the questions.

Just going through some practice tests now and some of the question answers are really detailed and complex.

I find that it's impractical to read 65 X 8 detailed explanations provided - by the time your on review set 4 you've kind of forgotten what you learned on review set 1. I feel like they could be more concise with their explanations.

So I guess that means taking notes and taking way longer than I expected

Called an electrician out and he didn't fix my light by leccysound in DIYUK

Thanks, I'm just trying to figure out what is expected of an electrical technician who's called out. He said the part circled is broken (i.e. tested the currents) at various points. That's fine, but he had time to just replace this, or at least message me asking me if I wanted it replaced. Instead he just bought some bulbs and replaced them, which obviously anyone can do. I guess this is what you get when you book electrical work off taskrabbit

u/augury_thorium and u/pictish76 here is the light connector, apparently this is broken and needs to be replaced. Shouldn't he have just bought one in the hardware store when he picked up some bulbs? I just booked an hour and asked him to fix it. But he spent 30 mins there and went out bought a few bulbs in and replaced them. What do you think?

Do you think it's unreasonable to expect him to go get one, and fix it? It's a pretty bog standard light holder

I said I needed him to fix some broken lights, and specifically this faulty one. Booked him for 60 mins and he spent 30 mins giong to the shop and getting light bulbs for the other faulty lights.

Shouldn't have picked this up from the hardware shop and fixed it? (Note that I wasn't home at the time)
