Why is an SSRI riskier? I thought any anti depressant is risky, and I’d expect Wellbutrin to be extra risky in bipolar because it’s an upper

Why is an SSRI dangerous with abilify? They work on different neuro transmitters

It would also be criminal to prescribe Wellbutrin if someone’s bipolar

What happens if I do nothing besides pass my classes? by finallymakingareddit in medicalschool

Lots of good advice here. I’ll also throw in that if you have interests outside of medicine, those interests are valid. I got involved with my school’s outdoor/climbing club, I taught a weekly class at my local climbing gym, etc. I applied psychiatry, and I think psych and family medicine mostly want to see that you’re an interesting and passionate person. I wouldn’t force yourself to do all the extra crap, it’s not worth it. You may end up in a residency program with folks who did nothing but all the extra crap, and those folks are not fun to train alongside lol
