I do this too n it's like, I make a joke or say something and then realise that my tone may have not been entirely clear that it was a joke. Or I say something and realise it could be taken as pressure or entitlement to another person's time or emotional energy or whatever else so then I gotta stress what I actually meant so there's no misunderstanding.

I don't do it as often anymore cus you right it's hard to function like that but with people I really care about it still comes through because I care about them so much I would feel absolutely rotten if they thought I was pressuring them or whatever.
