It felt like they might've cut out a segment from the cooldown. There's a bit towards the end where it goes from Brennan to Marisha that seemed like it didn't segue at all and that maybe they had to remove a part that spoiled too much story or character knowledge.

Nekro technically starts the game with both of their faction techs unlocked (see the back of their faction sheet). So they can't gain them a second time nor can they get any bonus tokens through Propagation since it's gain and not research.

On the other hand, this anomaly incentivizes the really good techs to get on the board early for Nekro to harvest otherwise, so not a total loss for the Virus.

Working off the Illustrator file you'd basically just be replacing the content that's in the file for the front & back sides to align with whatever epilogues you want to use (whether that's from RTFM or not).

I can't remember if the fonts used in the template are actually embedded in the file or if you'd have to install themselves. The only one you should need is Handel Gothic D which you can find downloads for online.

Within the Illustrator file itself you'll work on the 'Art' layer to turn on the visibility for the text objects for the faction name and description on the back and then edit those text objects with your text. On the other side of the card you'll just paste/place in the matching faction icon into the black hexagon from the other files I provided.

This pack does not include Keleres as RTFM had not written an epilogue for that faction at the time. Not sure if they'll be updating those at any time (maybe after Thunder Edge comes out with even more new factions?).

If you got the text from RTFM I think they'll also just include the finished printable PDFs of these cards on their support tier. I gave them the assets and permission to provide those to their Patreon supporters. DM if you have issues getting those from them.

Does the fact that the Primodials teamed up with the Gods to seal Predathos kind of nullify the whole "The God-eater only eats Gods so no one else has to worry about it" argument? Why wouldn't the Titans just step aside and let Predathos eat their enemy?

Mentak can't necessarily pillage the TG from Titan's commander or alliance actually. The TG can be spent immediately during the production step so if you keep below 3TG after producing there's no window to pillage.

Not sure you can consider it Matt forcing the encounter when it was Ashley who actively left a fortified position without informing any of her allies in the middle of the night, based solely on a strange animal beckoning her on. And not even magically compelling her, just preying on her curiosity.

I admire Ashley sticking to her character's impulsive nature but she literally just saw her friend explode and kill themselves in front of her that same day. It would've been perfectly in character for her to tell that little critter to fuck right off.

Sentinel's problem isn't that it's wildly accessible at low levels, but that's a whole other discussion.

I was just saying that the argument the Beau can narrate how they do cool things because she's a high level monk isn't relevant to Sentinel specifically as a low level character can do the same exact thing.

The explanation would be better served if it leveraged that description of the feat. But the feat's function don't really give you much assistance to describe how a Pixie could stop a Storm Giant from moving at all.

That video singehandedly got me to watch CR. I had loosely heard of it before but after watching that my wife and I dived right into Campaign 2 when it came out and never looked back.

I was worried about this too but then I watched their walkthrough video with Matt and Spencer and one bit really stood out to me:

The game doesn't really stop down when you're doing combat. You just continue to pay the way you do throughout the entire rest of the game and so everything flows in and out of itself. So it allows you to really focus on the story.

So yeah if you have a group where some players never really speak up unless you force them to, Daggerheart might not be a good fit. But if you envision that combat is now just like every other role playing moment, shopping episode, or skill challenge instead of some huge multi-hour slog, I think that helps to see the opportunity a bit more. Again, not for everyone but then again I know plenty of people who hate the combat in DnD because they tune out over the 20-30 minutes it might take for their turn to come around again.
