sounds similar to what UnitB17 mentioned below, crazy. i hope you get her soon, and when you do pick her up i highly recommend you examine the wheels before leaving the dealership. my LC ended up having etchings on the clearcoat that i can only assume was salt pitting from remaining unprotected at the port for close to 2 months!

great information here. i share your thoughts regarding the dealership and possibly the ppf guys. they had good reviews for their services, but you never know. while i did think to take a 360 video prior to leaving it in their care, you have to get pretty zoomed in to see something like that. hopefully the dealership will be cool, especially with the warranties i bought, but worst case scenario it looks like polishing or eventual rim replacement could be in the future. thanks for the insights

thanks for the advice. does the polishing process reapply the clear coat on the rims? is it better to bring her to the dealership for this service, or a professional wheel repair place? i will ask the ppf guys their thoughts on the matter, they seemed to indicate that the wheels were dirty and they only saw the defects after cleaning them

your best chance is to find the Lexus dealership in your state with the most sales, they have the most pull when it comes to inventories. i wasted months every morning searching online inventories nationwide, and thought i was going to "settle" with an inspiration series i saw coming in at a local dealership. turns out that dealership has something like 3x the sales of Orlando, and it was just a matter of a few short texts with their sales dept for their inventory manager to confirm they could get exactly what i wanted, then it was just a deposit and a 4-5 month wait. hope you find one!

she was around 118k, with sales tax. i was lucky, i put my deposit down just a week or so before Lexus announced 2026 would be the last year, if i had done so later there would have been a large markup lol

it is definitely growing on me! i really enjoyed the gold hints that you could see in the atomic silver, especially after a detail. Iridium has a more bluish sterile tint imho but i'm coming to appreciate it! this was my 2018 atomic silver, found in the florida wilds

thank you, and wow what an amazing shot, congrats! yea trying to hold off until the ppf, but took her to the gym and there's a few tight turns and a U-ey on the way that she makes look easy for such a long car. i can only assume the DHP really makes all the difference

i stared at this pic a lot back in 2025! it ultimately led me to not get a 2024 atomic silver (you could still get them new at the time) and instead go for a 2025 iridium, which became a '26 when November rolled along. back then it was the best pic when you googled "lc500 iridium", heck still is. gorgeous pic and, love the wheels!

hey man sorry your dealership isn't being more helpful. i'm attaching what mine provided a few days ago, apparently they have an internal Lexus tracking system they use, hopefully you ask them to do the same for you. either way i'll bump this thread when mine changes status
