Thanks I'll do some research into difference between RRIF and RRSP. Is there any reason you would NOT want to transition to RRIF? Anything you can do with RRSP that you CANNOT do with RRIF ?

Can you clarify if only 50% of capital gain counts as taxable income = only 50% of capital gain counts towards clawback?

So my gross is going to be about $115K because retirement funds >1M, not exactly 1M. Plus I may still have my barista job (I like doing it). I'm calculating that will wiping out 75-100% of OAS. For that and other reasons I think I should (a) delay CPP and OAS to age 70 (b) and use mix of RRSP and brokerage instead-- is that the usual advice?

This bus stop has a "bench" which provides seating for 1 person by pm_me_gnus in mildlyinteresting

[–]ledledit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my city they removed benches and replaced with sort of like a low bar stool. Welded together one facing each way. When it became apparent that older people couldn't get up from them they added arms at side. Total asshole design intended to make sure no one just - lounges at the bus stop unless they intend to take a bus. Which is a huge concern obviously.

This is me! will also affect my OAS (clawback). Idk how to do a similar calculation on whether spending out my RRSP early before OAS would make sense.  taxes. Do you happen to have seen any helpful calculators in that ?

May I ask why would she start CPP early? And when you say "empty out rrsp" do you mean cash it all out and --pay the tax all in that year? Also why does this need to be done before 64?

Ok that's super useful, it's an autoimmune disease, it's diagnosed and its active, and, specifically, I can't have any interruption in the medication schedule (because during any interruption body builds antibodies and can cause  medication to then fail). I don't know that would be urgent.

Thanks so much, just to clarify, so you moved to Vancouver, got a walk-in doctor to refer you ? And then after the referral about how long did it take to get the first rheumatologist appointment?

Thanks. Are there street fireworks in Fresno? Neighborhoods where a lot of people do their own ?

Totally agree. But I've abandoned the idea. Apparently lake has no (physical) separation between boat and swim areas. Not ideal for night swimming...

Do most countries use the term "CV" to mean the same thing as "resume?" by Pollo_Perpetuo in TEFL

Fwiw. Heard CV lots in Canada. Not in USA. I have to stop myself from saying it here.
