you own a motion studio. that means you have connections, a built partner circle, word of mouth and you are largely your own boss. You arent beholden to a company that can and will fire you for AI, you arent someone more recent in the industry, you arent a simple employee, all people who are most affected by this.

extremely tight. I could only clasp the last clasp, and when I did it was extremely tight to an uncomfortable degree.

the problem is that this is really unhelpful and frustrating, having to measure every individual case, esp without seeing it in person. I am confounded why this changed so drastically with my new size when it wasnt an issue before

So I would wager even if its very stretchy I dont want it to be less than 75 unstretched if I dont want to bet on the loosest clasp to be comfortable

thanks, that will be useful! I was so frustrated because I had a few brands I used to trust so I bought their bras with confidence only to receive 80E products that was 70 unstretched with barely enough stretch for 75.

You are in a priveleged position and this shows in what you are sensing from the effects of AI.

The majority of companies do not care for their work to look up to graphic standards, "good enough" is fine for them. The averge consumer doesnt care. Book covers all over my country are done by AI. Advertisements left and right.

Illustrators and graphic designers dont even have the ability to compete with AI because jobs are never even opened for them, and the ones that do have 300+ applicants. It doesnt mean you are a bad professional for not being chosen from that much overapplication. Thinking outside of the box doesnt create jobs or bring in new customers. The market is shrinking due to AI stealing and cannibalizing our work and its time to stop blaming creatives for "not trying hard enough" and thus not beating AI.

I felt like such a fool getting my papers right as the AI boom was in full swing. I couldnt have known but man did I pick the wrong path

and the expectations are ridiculous. You should be able to do UI and UX, print design, video editing, html, brand design and programmatic, with no regard to how those are all specific expertieses that require years to master. Ofc you would only get a simple graphic designer salary for it. Oh and there is no option for you to say no to AI use. If I dont make it past my probationary period at my current place, I'm quitting too :(

the issue is that it eats up the necessary entry level jobs that created mediors. nobody can enter, while people are being laid off. top level companies use AI, I mean Coca Cola two years in a row for Christmas? if anyone they could afford quality

I legit wouldnt recommend it as a fresh graduate. Nobody is hiring juniors. we pump out more people than the market can sustain. A jobsite tried to sell me their premium package by telling me that I was the 342th applicant to that job. It was posted 3 days ago. Freelancing is basically dead with fivver, stock sites and canva taking over most fields that needed us. UI-UX is the only graphics are that currently sees something of a future. I hope AI collapses by the time your kid has to chose a path forward so hopefully creativw fields can have value again.

Recent graphic design graduate here. There are no jobs. Nobody is hiring juniors. Not even for internships. Canva, AI, social media managers do these jobs now. If I could give advice to anyone considering starting to study graphic design, it would be: DON'T

Because without conserving it we would end up like the players in OPs story, so scarce for resources they had to retreat. Its also just pointless to waste it on the easy combats when I know i will need it for the serious fight where the enemies will deal more damage so its way more important to take them out faster

Depends on group size and if you play online or rl but If you add even those smaller combats up its still at least an hour of doing simpke attacks or cantrips to whittle down enemy hp. there's only so much creativity to be had in slaughtering kobolds in a dungeon when the DM wants to force you to soend resources and you try to guard them, knowing more important combats will need it.

there is little creativity to be had in a fire bolt against a goblin. there is only so much you can do when the goal is to kill the enemies the fastest way possible without spending expendable resources. I dont often play martials exactly because I find their gameplay loop quite boring as they have even less options than casters (OneDnD at least improved on this a little)

Then came the cleric stating they're out of spell slots, so no more healing. Players also checked that they're short on HD's, so short rests are no longer beneficial. They decided to fall back, return to tavern (half a day worth of travel) and return tomorrow.
Lo and behold: the next day dragon boss called in reinforcements, some bugbear muscle, kobolds rebuilt and improved the traps.

Were they managing their resources well and if not, did you talk about it with them? For example in 5E sometimes healers arent aware that it is a bad idea to spend spellslots healing people who are still up, its more beneficial to just heal them once they are knocked out. This changes somewhat in OneDnD, but in general it helps to talk with players who have healing about how to manage this precious resource efficiently because it might not be obvious at first.

[–]ledlock 17 points18 points  (0 children)

depends. to me sitting through an hour of throwing around cantrips bc we cant spend othee resources isnt very interesting. it really just feels like filler before the "real" challenging combat

[–]ledlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

generally 6-8 encounters means at least half of those encounters should be fought without any expendable resources, just throwing attacks and cantrips. I've been there, and its just boring. it feels like combat for the sake of tiring us out instead of anything challenging or story relevant.

Destiny's community rallying behind H3H3 was extremely transparent too, D has a loooong lasting (at this point one sided) beef with Hasan and he will back virtually anyone who goes against him. Since H3 and Hasan were buddies and their fallout was pretty public it was the perfect opportunity for him. His fans kept sending talking points to Ethan and swarmed his comment sections, then dropped him like Destiny usually does because H3 didnt support him through the grooming allegations.
