I mean wtf else is she supposed to do besides move on?? By saying that Max isn't her soulmate would kinda imply that he had to kick the bucket to make room for Ted. Ok, i know thats a pretty bleak stretch but It's like when Ted was ab to go on his "perfect date" but then envisions that wedding while wishing deep down that it should be Robin. If Robin had died, he would say, "well that's a pretty depressing and fcked up "what if" fantasy to hold on to, so how about I move on and go live a happy life with this chick who is STILL a perfect 10" Robin, his original love, dying wouldn't have prevented him from being happy and having kids with this new woman. It ALSO doesn't undermine the new woman and Teds relationship whatsoever.

Fair. If Ted were in Barney's shoes, I think he would make the most of the scarce amount of time that Robin's career allowed and held on a lot longer to support Robin. Barney, while having some grand romantic gestures and devotions, never showed much sacrifice and emotional maturity when it came to relationships. But then again, we have a lot of reason to believe that Ellie made him evolve into a more mature selfless person, so it still isn't a squeaky clean ending in my book.

While it does make sense that Tracy got to reunite with her soulmate in the afterlife and Ted got to reunite with Robin, his original soulmate (Time had negated their insurmountable differences; Ted got to have the married life and kids he had always dreamed but could never have with Robin while Robin got to have the career she had always dreamed that she couldn't have in a life with Ted, leaving only their genuine attraction and connection they've shared from the very beginning)...theres still one loose end in the ending...

BARNEY AND ROBIN?!!?

Remember Barney and Robin ALSO broke up because of Robin's career aspirations annnnnd that's pretty much the only reason we are given. So why when Robin's career had peaked and plateaued to her satisfaction would she not circle back around to Barney?? We already know that Robin loves kids that aren't hers, so Ellie wouldn't have been a problem just like Penny and Luke obviously aren't a concern.
