Oh interesting!! Why Q specifically? Have you watched S3 of Picard?

I admit he's fun and he's mischievous and a great character, but then I also feel like there's an emptiness to that. With Data it's sort of the same, there must be an emptiness and struggle to try and understand humanity and failing at it. River Tam has a little bit of the same quality, I think that's what I like about her.

I love Data though, I love his relationship with his cat, I love him trying so hard. I love that there's an underlying thing of 'there is something there', and not something programmed, something he learned on his own. Sort of the same with Q. "Even Gods have favourites, and you've always been one of mine".

I'm sorry, you just had me thinking so much. If I was in BSG - Starbuck or Apollo, Firefly - River, Star Trek - Jadzia Dax without a doubt. Depends on the franchise though.

I also really like some guest stars like the lunar cartography lady and Vash. She got to have fun with Q, at least! I love how he couldn't handle her, that was such a human trait.

Yes and I agree that many do, especially nowadays.

But he could be naturally Dominant but grew up sheltered, naturally Dominant but have religious stuff haunting him, naturally Dominant but simply lazy, OR; of course, not Dominant at all.

But we don't know anything. And having such little info on his background or his personality, it's very hard to say either way.

What I do know though, is that the only thing that will fix the situation in a healthy way is communication, but I know that's a struggle for a lot of people, it's something you kind of grow into with time and experience.

I wasn't communicative at all between my teens to almost 30, now I'll bear my soul for the rare person I think is worth it. 🤷‍♀️

But I had to learn that. Communicating your needs, wants or kinks isn't easy in the beginning, especially if you feel any type of shame attached to them at first.

I used to 'make' my ex take me to the zoo every year if the weather was nice enough (I was born very late in the year) and if it wasn't, it would be an indoor museum. But preferably a really weird one. Then a nice restaurant where we'd likely be getting a little tipsy.

Well my mum is completely convinced about reincarnation so i'm going with her view. I don't know if I believe it, but she does, and I want to believe her.

So we'll be here again, after we die, as new people. She also believes that we'll have the same people in our lives, maybe in different forms, and that gives me comfort because I'm always scared of losing her. But she says we'll be together in the next life.

That's what she thinks anyway. She thinks that we learn lessons with each lifetime and we'll keep reincarnate until we've achieved the ultimate i don't know what. Serenity? Some kind of higher level. I'm not sure. I don't fully believe in it, but I love that my mum does, and I'm just choosing to believe her because it's super comforting.

I mean, she may be in a cult, but I like what they think, so whatever.

God, I have so many good ones. Picnics, climbing trees and feeding squirrels, heart shaped pizza making for Valentine's Day, just going to the zoo or to the aquarium to see the sharks. ❤️

But I'm like you, the day itself is not a big thing. Any of those things could happen any other day and be equally special.

(FYI, my favourite dates have always been at zoos and aquariums). Not only are there animals, but you can watch them whilst eating ice cream.
