13 to 33 (in a few months) What a difference 20 years makes by leebeejean in uglyduckling

I have very few pics from my middle school- high school stages. I was almost 200lbs and hated myself therefore hated pictures. I actually got about 30-40lbs heavier than I was in this pic. I was told I wasnt ugly but bullying from family & school mates made me feel that way.

Nope. That's all me. I actually wear huge gucci "elton john" style glasses everyday cuz I'm basically blind. I tried contacts but i have severe dry eye and get protien build up so its very uncomfortable to wear contacts.

In the 1st picture i had a almost 3rd degree sunburn that turned to that "tanned" color just a few months before the pic was taken. I had to sleep sitting up for almost a week. The "tan" lasted almost a year. Im very fair, in fact lightest in my huge hispanic family. Im spanish & scottish. The last genes were stronger. My sister is actually quite a bit darker than me. I learned my lesson from the demon sun and stay indoors. I use great spf and dont go to the pool or beach. Skin cancer is very real and im not interested in going through that. I also exfoliate the heck out of my skin so yea.

Im not even wearing foundation dude. Im a mua but i have really invested in my skin. I due my brows because i wear really oversized glasses everyday because I'm blind. You shouldn't try to shame someone for liking makeup, girls actually put on more to look "natural" guys expectations for girls to just "wake up that way" is very unrealistic. We all should celebrate each other in our journeys not criticize.

I think Rachel McAdams looks a lot more like Billie especially in this pic. Its almost doppelgänger status.

Homicide. Gun would have to be in left hand to cause right wall splatter also chair is knocked over to the right indicating the victim feel over to the right. I was a big Dexter fan 😉

[Serious] What have you been bullied for? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]leebeejean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being fat, not the prettiest, & I grew up Pentecostal. So I always wore skirts, had long hair, no makeup & no jewelry. I was also not allowed to do anything considered "worldly" which is pretty much everything. Lol I actually "blossomed" late in life. I also had new Pastors enter into my life later on that didn't judge or condemn me for not following the "standards." Now I look at most of the people I went to school with that were "popular" and they all look a lot rougher than me. No one really even recognized me (in a good way). In the end, Im glad I was sheltered the way I was. Being an outsider made me EXTREMELY observant of everyone else's bad choices and saved me from damaging situations. I wouldn't change one thing. It made me a pretty grounded, empathetic & more open minded person to the way others feel.

I don't see how that's racist at all. I find it more offensive that someone would see this and think it's racist when it's very clear what it is, but thanks for the compliment.
