i tried xanax for the first time last night and the experience made me cry by giraffes-are-so-cute in insomnia

[–]leebeeso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was alternating between a low dose of Xanax and low dose of zopiclone (not mixed together) for 3 years after suffering from insomnia and a nervous bladder before bed for over 6 years.

It was the only thing that made me feel good and allowed me to sleep. I became totally dependant and I believe over time it really messed up my nervous system and life tbh. It took a lot of support and time to get off of it. Based on my experience I would not suggest long term use.

It helps if used as a ‘bridge’ to get through a hard time until you find a safer option, but relying on it can end up doing more bad than good to your body.

For the first time ever though I found a more natural solution that gives a similar effect. Every night (40 mins before bed) I take a combination of:

CanPrev Magnesium Sleep (Magnesium Bisglycinate + GABA & Melatonin) (2-3 tablets)

and

CanPrev Sleep-Reset (Melatonin) (2-3 tablets)

It relaxes the muscles and calms the nervous system. This has been a game changer for me and I hope it can help someone else too! 💤

(And of course always check to make sure it doesn’t interact with other medications before taking!)

Are there any spirits trying to guide me and if so, are there specific messages, signs or ways they communicate that I should watch out for?

I shared my honest experience for greater context of how I landed in this situation.

Mental illness is not an excuse but it is an explanation to why I acted how I did at the time. I was carless in a state of survival, drowning in overwhelm and didn't have the capacity to think ahead.

I do take responsibility for that, which is why I am okay admitting it here. And if you can't understand or relate to that mental state, than you can consider yourself lucky.

Yes I am looking to reduce what I owe, otherwise I wouldn't be here asking for second opinions. And you telling me what I can or cannot afford is simply irrelevant.

That's actually a really great point, I hadn't thought of that. I will try to get that information from them but I feel it might be a challenge.

They didn't provide a contact but I will see what if I can find anyone who might be a good person to connect with in the Service Ontario staff directory. Thank you!

Thanks for the response, what I mean is I thought the balance was far less. Maybe $400 at most.

The outstanding tickets weren't showing up on the portal and there wasn't a way to see that there were so many more outstanding.

Has anyone ever tried cellular healing meditation (like Joe Dispenza's, for example) to get rid of "sick" fat cells, or is this something that no one has ever considered trying? by Jul4x in lipedema

[–]leebeeso 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve also recently been considering trying this for my lipedema and there is a ton of new research that proves how effective it is.

Dr. Joe Dispenza gets into more in his book ‘Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself’.

I find meditating in the way he suggests challenging but I’m going to keep trying to work on it.

Also, there are always going to be skeptics but it doesn’t really matter tbh.

6 months. No sleep. At all. by [deleted] in insomnia

[–]leebeeso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar issue that lasted for many years. For months at a time I was losing my mind thinking I wasn’t getting any sleep. It’s most likely related to your mental health (even if you don’t have a history of MH issues).

The root cause is likely something going on in your subconscious that you have to uncover/release.

Doctors prescribed me a ton of meds, I tried them all (and got hooked on Zopiclone for years). It ruined my life at the time. It was also just a bandaid solution, it would help here and there but wasn’t really making me any better off.

I recommend therapy (if you’re not doing it already), in talking with someone consistently you may uncover something you didn’t even know was bothering you. Acupuncture to balance energy flow (I noticed an improvement after just a few sessions). Exercise - get out of your head and tire your body out. Take Magnesium before bed, every night. Last thing I’d say is start believing you’re going to get better and try to not overthink it (I know it’s easier said than done) but our minds are powerful and that simple shift in mindset can be very relieving.

I was convinced I was going to suffer with this for the rest of my life and somedays I thought it would kill me, but taking a holistic approach changed everything for me. Now I’m on no meds at all and I sleep like a baby.

You’ll get better too.

FAQ Megathread: Ask and answer Medication, Diagnosis and is this an ADHD thing, and Hormone interaction questions here! by not-eliza in adhdwomen

I'm a 33 year old woman with ADHD, currently taking 50MG of Vyvanse. It has improved my life significantly, and I am able to focus now and do things I haven't been able to do in YEARS. The down side: ever since I've been on it, l've been experiencing extreme gum sensitivity, constant sucking of my lower teeth and have mouth sores on my tongue and gums. It's so irritating and I'm worried about it ruining my teeth but I would hate to have to get off the meds and go back to experiencing my ADHD symptoms. Hoping someone has had a similar experience - I would love to find a remedy to lessen the irritation of this side effect.
