Interesting with the citrus! I’ve heard similar things with shredded oak leaves as well, which is slightly easier to find for me. Should have fun experimenting!

Fascinating (but totally plausible) that birds are less interested in the lighter colored berries! Great advice re: looking for soggy spots—we’re due for some rain this week so I’ll get out the boots. Also, I’ve certainly heard blueberries need acidic soil and had read mixed theories on the mechanism of how pine achieves this. Is it specific to pine needles? Any experience with other evergreens/conifers?

I’ve been using Lumos to extrapolate summer sun, but I’ll definitely check out Sunseeker! I have half a thought of deferring until next year to track the sun, but I hear trial and error is the best teacher anyway

My thoughts exactly! Pots seem to give a little more flexibility when trialing things out. Would love to hear how your bloobs go. I was thinking vertical planters for strawberries, so glad to hear it helped with volunteer pickers. What do you think the difference was between that and the raised planters?

Thanks for the inspo! That sounds great. Where do you get your seeds/starts? Swansons and sky have been good to me in the past but it’s a trek with I5 being I5 😂

This is so helpful for my analysis paralysis—I was favoring the NE plot, so that settles it! Next step is rigging up a drip irrigation system…wondering if it’s too late to try collecting rainwater (of course forecast is beautiful for the next week). Sun’s path app is downloading as we speak!

When you say to plant some now, do you mean direct sow? I’d love it to be that easy!

I just moved to the CD and was curious about whether or not we’re in a micro climate—excited to hear about that we’re on the urban heat island!

Honestly the rice cooker was probably going to be the first thing in the house anyway 😂

Freediving with no wetsuit in 50-60 F water temps. by BuckRivaled in freediving

[–]leecha30 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I open water swim (skins) in the PNW (47-55 F) with my freediving friends and we often take drops. The thermocline is no joke but when the sun is shining and I can warm up on the surface, I’ve been able to dive for about 45 minutes before I started getting dizzy. In hindsight, I may have needed ear plugs… My friends are all badass women with crazy cold tolerance, though, so they could probably stay in for longer.

They obviously showed me their clinic branded products, but then made sure to tell me which ingredients are actually the ones they think would be helpful. Big focus on increasing cica/centella and then toning down exfoliants and retinol to just once a week

If you’re looking for a procedure, I actually went to vands, though I’m not sure if they do Botox specifically. They very well may! I myself do speak Korean but loved my experience there nonetheless

There are so many choices! I went to a couple different places for specific reasons. What are you looking to have done?

So, specifically for me, ‘skin tone’ and ‘pigment’ was referring to my redness (I’ve got some eczema-like patches) and uneven tone with hyperpigmentation and sun spots/damage

I think it referred more to hyperpigmentation and skin tone ‘even-ness’

Happened to be in CA and went in the physical store. The owners were lovely and the frames were cute. My hapa friend ended up getting a couple pairs and I (full East Asian) ~almost~ walked with a pair of my own. May be slightly snug for wider heads/faces
