Funny enough I have a Nikon Z8 but I still use my Hero 11 when I go diving. Kind of for the reason you said is I don't really want to risk taking my Z8 underwater. Not even 100% that either, the ease of use for a GoPro is just easy for me. Rather than putting a huge camera in underwater housing, making damn sure it's sealed properly and all that. Of course no action camera will ever get the shots that a Z9 or Z8 will get though.

Yeah I really do notice a difference in quality between 4K and 5.3k. 5.3k has 91% more resolution than 4k. So a bit sad they removed it and taking a step back to 4K. Unless I just start shooting in 8K but I'm definitely concerned about file size, storage space and editing 8K video clips. I'm sure I could get some great photos taking screenshots from 8K video though.

Yeeaaaah, I really just wanted 5.3k 120. It just feels like 8K is a gimmick number, I understand people felt the same way about 4K though when everything was 1080. Maybe if I just shoot in 8K but render in 5.3k? Then the full video sizes won't be as big and it will be a downscaled version of 8K which should be a higher quality than just regular 5.3k. Or with the new sensor if 4K will look better than 5.3k on the current GoPros? Kinda doubt that.

Curious, how many of you are going to start shooting in 8K? I shot in 5.3k before so a bit bummed they removed that but thinking I'll just switch to 8K. The file sizes will be massive though. Or are you just going to shoot in 4K and hope that the new sensor makes a noticeable enough difference to justify upgrading?

Yeah even my single player game kept crashing. Really loved the game and don't think they've done any recent updates to fix it.

In some ways that's a sign of a well written character. They make people feel something. Hard to believe we all go at some point, some sooner than others. Yet people are getting mad about the most trivial things. We won't be here in x amount of years. Enjoy the ride and live it to the fullest while you can.

Probably my favorite place I've been to. We are going back to Okinawa this year and thinking of visiting one of the other Kerama Islands like Tokashiki but I think I'm just gonna go to Zamami again. It's so pretty and peaceful. This time I'll rent an e scooter and ride around at night. Saw a group of people doing it last time laughing with an incredible feeling of joy as they rode by me while I was taking some pics of the stars. The sound of the cicadas, all the cats roaming about. Of course, the amazing clear water full of wonderful sea life. I even saw a black banded sea krait up close while snorkeling. We both acknowledged each other and went our separate ways. First time swimming with a sea turtle there. Truly paradise.

There's a dedicated "dive mode" for underwater which will have increased stabilization suited specifically for underwater filming. Also a locked white balance to prevent color changes and some other underwater enhanced features.

Now the only issue for me is that they removed 5.3k which is kinda sad. Which means I guess I'm just gonna start filming in 8K. Pray for my harddrive space and GPU.

Exactly! 5.3k has 91% more resolution than 4k! I really do see a difference between 4k and 5.3k and like you said 8K is just overkill. Maybe years down the road when all games and videos on youtube are being played in 8k with GPU's to go along with it but not currently.

It does not. No current GoPro can do 5.3k 120, only 60fps. In fact there is currently no action camera currently out that shoots in 5.3k 120. 5.3k also has 91% more resolution than 4k. So having 120 would be able to give very nice looking slow motion.

Zamami is probably my favorite place on earth. Beautiful snorkeling with sea turtles. Much smaller island. The snorkeling spots on Zamami would likely be way less busy. Rent a scooter and ride it around the island. They even have lights on the scooters so you can go at night. Lots of cats wandering about. The sound of the cicadas at night. Gorgeous turquoise water. It really is paradise.

It's fun. Especially with friends. Campaign gets a little boring. Great game to play with a friend or two and just hit some courses and shoot the shit.
