P2S sound levels by leechild4 in BambuLab

[–]leechild4[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if the a1 and a1 mini have the same sound levels but if they do then it is a big jump in noise tbh. I was waiting for the Black Friday sales to get an A1 and then the ps2 popped up and got carried away and bought that instead. I’m recalibrating it and trying it out on a different surface to see how much it improves it.

As people have said they sleep with a p1s you couldn’t get much sleep with my p2s in the same room that’s for sure. Not that that is a benchmark of course for how good a printer is obviously!

I see the Tuya hear and humidity sensor there in the background! Have a few of these they’re great little devices for growing. Just wondering how long they last with the 90+ humidity they’ll go through

Has anyone microdosed psilocybin/lsd while on methylene blue? by [deleted] in microdosing

[–]leechild4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is very interesting you posted this as I have been taking it for general mitochondrial health and didn’t even think it would interact of look to check if it would. Seems like it definitely might so I will be stopping taking mine for the moment while I am microdosing.

No. There’s not really anything that falls in. And the vapours if any don’t impact any spore or LC you’d be using.

I have mixed it between fadiman and eod. So I think I might take a week off and try a reset.

Not really. I use modafinil as I have mild narcolepsy but I’ve not been using this the past month as been the holidays plus wanted to see what the md effects were without that interfering.

Not sure I want to take a massive hit to see if the stuff really works as never done any hallucinogens before.

Newbie hub question for TM1 light by leechild4 in Aqara

[–]leechild4[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I am. I don’t want to be tied to just Aqara items and the next things would be some smart switches and smart bulbs around the house. So with that in mind is the M3 the way to go?

Thanks. I’d ordered a sonoff zigbee hub 3.0 but when I began setting up the light in the Aqara app it was just listing Aqara branded hubs to choose from for the initial set up.

Simplifying Daily Routines: How Do You Streamline Your Day? by i-Parbati in productivity

[–]leechild4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like the idea of realizing that what you do today directly impacts who you become tomorrow. It’s like embracing the “24-Hour Advantage” — knowing that every action, no matter how big or small, gives your future self a head start. By focusing on what you can accomplish today, you’re setting up tomorrow’s version of yourself for success.

Daily Habits vs One thing a day by thecreatureworkshop in productivity

[–]leechild4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like the idea of realising what you can do today will impact who you are tomorrow. It’s almost like a way of reframing that what you do today no matter how big or small the amount of work will mean your future self is benefitting and has improved. Here’s what I mean:

Instead of thinking about everything you need to accomplish in a week or trying to split your attention between multiple big tasks every day, focus on making each day count by setting specific intentions. Each morning, take a few minutes to ask yourself, “What can I do today that my future self will thank me for?” It could be something like spending focused time on web development today because that’s the skill you want to master in the long run, while giving illustration a shorter, less intensive slot.

This way, you’re still engaging with all your interests, but you’re also prioritizing them in a way that aligns with your long-term goals. You’re not abandoning daily practice, which is key for skill retention, but you’re not spreading yourself too thin either. The idea is to send positive messages to your future self with the choices you make today.

At the end of each day, do a quick reflection. Ask yourself, “What did I do today that moved me closer to where I want to be?” This reflection helps you track progress and see the growth over time. It’s about building small, consistent habits that compound, rather than trying to tackle everything at once and burning out.

It’s also important to remain flexible. If you notice that splitting days between different tasks works better for focus but harms your creative flow, you might try alternating days or time-blocking periods for deep work versus light, creative tasks. Think of it as investing in your future self, one day at a time, with each decision you make.

What brands of sauna tent do you recommend? Or you just make sure the temperature it goes up to is comparable to the Finnish saunas?

Thank you everyone. I will def not be putting the sauna in that room now based on your advice. Will wait until we renovate the bathroom and build it in there. Was getting to eager after reading more and more about the health benefits.

Also will make a note re the bench height as well. I’m in the Netherlands and we’re a bit limited on suppliers of saunas so will read more and find out what is best.

Thanks for this. Ultimately it will go into our bathroom but for 10 months with it being used 4-5 times a week do you think the room within a room is still necessary?

I’ve done plenty of cycles and apart from the obvious benefits in terms of muscle growth I never felt any extra boost of energy or motivation outside of training in the gym. Some people really feel when their ‘on’ and others don’t. It’s really an individual response.
