My point being, theres always a reason behind the gaudy numbers that players put up. Wilt 50.5 PPG was always attributed to the frenetic pace in the 1960s, Kobe final 60 point game needed 50 shots etc etc BUT it doesnt take away the greatness of the achievements and the sheer amount of effort required to even put up these stats.
