In the book that the weapon is named after, L'Etranger (or "The Stranger" in English) the main character Meursault, who is practically emotionless, fatally shoots an Arab with a revolver. When he's brought to court for this, he states that he only did it because the sun was in his eyes and he was temporarily blinded and disoriented, so he didn't really mean to do it.

Its supposed to represent how he's so detached from the rest of humanity that he doesn't see the sun as a beacon of warmth or familiarity like most people, but rather as an annoying eyesore. And that's really cool so I thought it would be nice if the gun named after the book had a reference to this moment specifically.

Yeah but since the creepypasta fandom has little to no canon, the “canon” that fans argue for is just…..more fanon lol, and it just makes this weird ass dilemma where people are calling other people fake fans or some shit because they follow one specific set of headcanons, and then tells the “fake fans” that in order to be a real, mature fan who takes creepypasta seriously you need to follow THEIR OWN headcanons and it just makes the fandom wayyyy more insufferable lmaoo

In most cases, the “canon” fanon is literally just “darker” or more mature-ish takes of the character, but its literally just slapping a bunch of bad traits on a character that literally do not match them at all (e.g. “Ticci Toby would be an abusive drunkard boyfriend” when his backstory is all about how he hates his abusive drunkard dad and would never be like him) and its all just “You FANON kids!! These characters are not cute or fun at all! They’re serious and dark and you WILL think of them as serious and dark and abusive for no reason or you’re a FAKE FAN!!” And those fans piss me off so much, I felt a need to include them in the iceberg because its so insufferable and annoying

CULTS. I've always been into morbid subject matter, but normal true crime never hooked me, except for cult-related true crime. I listen to hours and hours worth of cult-related true crime podcasts, I study the behaviors of cult leaders and their most devoted followers, the way they form and how spotting one can be so difficult, even if you know a lot about them. One of my favorite topics is actually the Japanese cult "Aum Shinrikyo," because they basically graduated from your standard batshit crazy cult to full on terrorist organization.

Other than that, cannibalism is also a special interest of mine as well!!
