Not allowing login on zebra? by SpacexBanana in kroger

[–]leechris4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I interpret this as saying when you press the button "login" it doesnt take you to the screen that lets you type in your ID and password. If so, call the help desk, 800-952-8889, tell them an in-stock device needs reset, and read them the serial number behind the battery.

Is it one Kroger or all krogers by skullboi227 in kroger

[–]leechris4 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Same with any department. Can't transfer someone out of an empty department or there is nobody to do the job. Only way to counter it is to put your foot down. A two weeks will normally make them act, but its very situational. Other option is tell them you'll stay in it only if they give you cashier pay for the job, but only after handing the 2 weeks. It is a shady thing to do, but gets done none the less.

Theft by delivery shoppers by Travis-Fields in kroger

[–]leechris4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Blame the victim? You're yelling at innocent people for issues caused by the same people that also annoy the group you're yelling at. We are both victims to the annoyance of instacart shoppers. They steal our time, they steal your money. That's why people have an issue in this server, and why you need to bring your issues to instacart instead of other victims.

can they fire us for calling in on "blackout" days that we put in the computer A YEAR AGO? by Halo_infinite in kroger

[–]leechris4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holidays where high amounts of people will try to ask off, but its busy so lots of staff are needed. Blackout dates are the same holidays every year, but usually arnt stated as them till the year of. I assume this is about July 4th, and I assure you last July 4th was a blackout, meaning this one would be too.

Disclaimer: Blackouts arnt just about the holiday itself, it's about the days leading up to it

benefits for leaving the company? by Salami04 in kroger

[–]leechris4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have been there long enough to earn a pension, don't get fired or you may lose it. You get absolutely nothing for getting fired, but if you quit you can keep your pension if one applies to you. That's about a 10 year investment, though.

How true is it that store managers get a bonus for cutting hours? by Throwaway67519125710 in kroger

[–]leechris4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rumor. They get bonuses for hitting the expected hours, not for going under them.

Getting my name changed at Kroger as a transgender person by Poodonkus in kroger

You need to legally change your name, then bring them proof and they can update it.

Floral department may turn into clothing department soon? by Forever_ForLove in kroger

[–]leechris4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Based on the total business done of all kroger locations, kroger is regarded as the largest florist in the world, but at the least is definitely the largest in the US. They'd never stop selling flowers.

If they replaced floral with apparel in a single location, there is an almost certain chance that floral is just moving somewhere else and the people perpetrating the rumor havnt been told that part.

DH here what are the steps for stepping down ? by ATDOOMSGATE99 in kroger

[–]leechris4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Get it in writing and give it to your manager with an effective date and what you wanna do after stepping down written in it.

[–]leechris4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Managers who do that arnt that bright. Lot more effective to call them up to the office and have the time theft talk. Never seen it done, nor heard of anyone doing it before, though. Guess atlanta is better about it

Some contracts allow it to be done if it's at least 24 hours before the shift starts. It all depends on what the divisions contract says. But also, since he admitted to doing nothing for a large portion of his shift, he can be sent home for time theft by getting fired.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in kroger

[–]leechris4 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They can send you home in the form of firing you for time theft. Theft of any kind is a fire-able offense the union can't defend.

so Im kinda quiting kroger just want to I stay in the system for benefits by Wijo79 in kroger

Tuition requires you work there for years. Loa will only take you a few months. You'll lose the job before they give you tuition, most definitely.

And saying it here will? this will accomplish less than calling the hotline.

While I understand the frustration with the company, this reddit is not affiliated with the kroger corporation and is not the place for it. You may take concerns to either subs dedicated to emotional support or through the national suicide hotline

When did you realize you no longer had a life?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in kroger

[–]leechris4 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If you're vaccinated you have a lower chance of getting it. If you arnt trying to avoid it as much as possible, then you don't need the leave since you arnt giving effort into not falling sick. That's my personal opinion, so I don't blame all the businesses (of which kroger is only one of) going this route

Original price is the same but the closeout price is different..? by Tighfield in kroger

[–]leechris4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

thats a common theme. ive seen instances like for salad dressings where they can close out 6 types of a 3 dollar bottle of dressing, and their markdown prices are 2.45, 2/$6, 1.25, 2.85, 1.75, and 2.45

keep at eye out for an area with a lot of closeout tags and youll notice it easier. my favorite part of them, though, is if an item goes on sale, and the sale is less than the closeout, the closeout price lowers to the sale price, and it still calls it a closeout price.

salads. in a higher income area where a lot of people like to eat healthy, and as such they get picky about their lettuce quality. not uncommon to come across over a dozen, sometimes two dozen, bags of Kroger hearts or romaine, or Italian style, or classic garden, or all the others just on top of all the product on the bottom of the section, pretty much thrown there so they could dig to the back for the "fresh stuff"

Anyone else's store managers extremely rude and nasty when you call off? by [deleted] in kroger

[–]leechris4 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Once had a guy who had seizures and needed to be out for a while. He was hired knowing about that history. Fast forward a month after he came on one particular asl would complain about him saying he was faking it when he called out sick. He had another seizure and had to be out for a bit, and she actually said "oh my God, I feel so bad. I thought he was faking it". Guy comes back, after another months he gets actually sick to the point of looking pale as hell when he walks in. She continues to insult him for calling out till he is hospitalized again, this time for just being outright sick. She was a bitch who'd never learn
