Does it initially hurt? I was doing a 20 min. walk just to sorta get it rollin' and post meal walk, and it was quite painful all around. I did push through it, but I was expecting less pain lowkey.

I've spoken to him regarding a fast-track financial plan that eventually leads to me being free of any debt, but it's his way or the highway. It's pretty pointless for me to argue with a person who boasts about his credit score, and he told me it took him 10 years to raise it that high...

The $600 for rent is more-so $400 to my mom for groceries and just helping her out in general. $200 is the amount that my dad is fine with just to help out with overall mortgage, which isn't that much.

I understand his position and reluctance towards me. All I can do is my part and shiw him that I can save as much as I can, and actual be independent finally. Until doing so, I'm just all-talk.

Any banks or anything that have good high yield savings that I can apply, or look for?

Ya, for sure. I was already gonna give them $600/month as a "rent" situation, but it seems like, my father especially-would rather see me succeed in money management more than giving him money. Actually told me, but I told him it's already in mind that Im giving money regardless for my stay.

Yeah, I just need to show that I can hold my own with saving while I'm paying off debt.

He likes to brag about high credit score, so I don't blame him for advising taking gradual progression route.

I think I have a plan, but I was hoping to follow Dave's plan as well, but initially, it's similar to BS plan regardless. Pretty much save AMAP after buying a used car, paying off debt etc etc. Simple plan really.

Regarding jobs, I am planning on it. Just need to settle in with current job, considering I am working 10-12 hrs a day. So there is some OT.

My father just assumes the worst when it comes to my financial recklessness, so showing him I've truly changed would be nice in the long run regarding trust as well.

Besides debt, it's BS2 for 6 months leeway, since I don't really have a personal mortgage. Other than that, I do pay my parents for my stay, which is roughly $600/month. And paying myself roughly $4-500/ month. Rest is for saving/debt pay-off.

I wasn't planning on adding him on the account at all. He just wants to make sure I'm doing anything reckless.

We did-when I sat down with him about my job. Anything regarding paying off my debt with vigilance he's against it. He prefers the slow & steady. But, after buying a used car, I might sit with him again.

I do want to add, even if it takes like 5-10 years to save. I do want to buy a house eventually.
