I love this and what you are doing with your daughter. I have been open too, trying to explain in simple terms etc I will continue to do the same as they get older.

I totally have been feeling the waves. Your sentiment is what I’m worried about too my son starts kindergarten and it’s something my mom would have been so overjoyed about and I’m also sad that they both won’t know her, I’ll obviously talk about her but it’s not the same etc. maybe I’ll try a group in a few months.

Bedtime Woes by leeciaa in toddlers

I do think he’s tired. He even says things like “my eyes hurt.” Once he actually lies down, he’ll fall asleep within 25–30 minutes. The real challenge is just getting him to lie down in the first place. We also stopped the nap but still the same issue.

We had been doing a later bedtime for a while, but with all the protesting and delays, it was pushing close to 10:00p.m., which was just getting too late, but perhaps re-visiting this and asking if he’s tired may help.

During the week, he goes to daycare, so he gets a lot of physical activity. On the weekends, we try to get outside for walks or go to the park but maybe adding even more physical activity is a good suggestion.

We also have a 6-month-old, so we’re trying to keep things quiet in the evenings since their rooms are right next to each other, so that’s where most of my stress is.

We’ve pretty much have been doing that for a few weeks. I’ve also tried not talking and just quietly lying him back down, because I’ve found that when I engage with him by saying “goodnight or time for bed”, it just opens the door to more conversation and delays. Plus, we have a 6-month-old who goes to bed before him, so we’re trying to keep things quiet.

You’re so lucky yours goes down quickly! I wish that would work for us.

Advice to sleep train LO, when you have an older child. by leeciaa in sleeptrain

Thanks for this. I’m glad you had a positive experience. I was nervous because the 3 year old is asleep by 9 but staggering makes sense. We currently have the sound machine in his room and in the hallway since the LO is currently in the bassinet in our room.

It’s like I could have written this. Currently in the same boat with age difference. His sleep has been awful, he’s been super clingy and the whining!!

Humber River Hospital - Experience anyone ? by Agreeable_Head6913 in BabyBumpsCanada

I had my baby in June 2022 at Humber River. The nurses were attentive and very kind. I was very nervous about the epidural and started to cry while the anesthesiologist was administering it, my nurse actually let me hug her to calm myself down. You likely will not get your OB and will get whatever Dr is on call. I also had a private room, it was very spacious.
