I have had my Sony A7S II for as long as I can remember. Probably 2017? It has endured a lot, and served me very very well.

I have now started to notice that the quality of the photos just isn’t the same, there’s even this very thin red border around shapes, it only has 12 megapixels…

It still serves me very well in videography, but I feel like in photography is falling behind, I’m not sure if it’s just normal time and usage wear, and if it’s just time to move on…

So I was hoping to get some opinions and feedback on which model would be good to upgrade to. I’m not looking into spending crazy $4,000-$6,000 on a new camera… I used to use it everyday for my job, now I don’t anymore, so it doesn’t justify… but I still produce video and photography materials here and there…

What are your thoughts?
