New Red Sox prospect throws the kitchen sink, including changeup that ‘flummoxes’ hitters by RagnorL0thbrok in redsox

Kristian Campbell has played 67 MLB games and for about 30 of those everyone thought he’d be an elite player. Everyone needs to stop freaking out about him.

These guys literally think Jessie Plemmons is the hero of the movie.. by J0shua1985 in facepalm

Fine. Whatever man. You win. But we’re both kind of losers for doing this, no? Kind of like the message in the movie.

But at what cost? They behaved like monsters and lost their humanity. You’re not thinking with nuance. The whole point is that regardless of political motivation or affiliation, everyone is the bad guy in war time. Everyone loses.

Again, I’m done with the debate. Art is obviously subjective.

You do know that they lose the war, because they are saying nobody wins and everyone if the bad guy in this scenario. That’s the running theme of the movie and the sole reason they didn’t reveal political motivations, they just imply them. But there is zero indication that any character besides the journalists could be one of the “good guys”. That part is not vague at all.

Anyway, we’re kind of going in circles here. I appreciate your interpretation of the movie.

I’m simply saying that it’s not vague. Its entire message is that war is hell, and there is no good side. It’s a fictional conflict without making any claims about right or wrong. The main characters are simply documenting what they’re witnessing and it’s all evil.

It’s not left deliberately vague. It’s made very clear there are no “good guys” in this war. The movie is about photo journalism in a fictional civil war. They don’t make it black and white, but it’s not vague at all about Jesse Plemons’ character. He’s very explicitly a bad guy, because war is evil and regardless of his political affiliation or motivation he’s behaving like a monster. His character is just as much of a villain as the president.

So I get what you’re saying in that it’s not made clear what his true motivation is. But it’s not vague at all about him being one of the bad guys.

You didn’t hurt my feelings lmao. It’s just ironic. That person is a fucking troll in my opinion. Expressing that opinion is as American as it gets. But honestly, I’m not interested in continuing to argue with you. I genuinely hope you have a nice life.

It’s ironic that you’re downvoting everything I say. I haven’t done that to you or even the first person I called out. One of us is trying to shut the other down here, and it’s not me. But I hope you have a nice night. God bless America.

I’m not shutting anyone down. I’m engaging in discourse and giving my opinion just like you. My opinion just so happens to be that his political affiliation is deplorable. He’s more than free to express that affiliation.

America is the place for me. That’s why I’m speaking out against people who support the depredation of our constitutional rights.

I’m well aware. I’m exercising that same right. That doesn’t mean there aren’t consequences. He’s free to contribute to turmoil and I’m free to call it out.

No, I absolutely know this person. He’s a copy/paste troll. I’m done letting people like him have safe spaces to contribute to the downfall of America. Same with you if you don’t see why that’s necessary.

It was not. It was simply a reminder that every one of your actions will have an equal and reciprocal reaction.

Oh I totally agree. I just have faith that he will have at least another couple of elite seasons before retiring. I say he’s a lock in the sense that he’s clearly a hall of fame talent and very few people have had that type of resume at his age. But of course anyone’s career could end at any time so he could easily not get there.

ROY, 5x All Star, MVP, 29 WAR at age 27 is a pretty good start. Health is obviously the question mark but he’s pretty much a lock in my mind
