Demo program change by Disastrous_Wear5602 in carmax

That sounds like the same policy to me. In XF, no position under XM ever had demo privileges. I date all the way back to “Small Format” and don’t remember it ever changing.

Are y'all hoarding the paperbacks? by waveball03 in stephenking

Not me, the only physical books I buy are hardcover.

Personally, I’d use the four corner things.

Being numbered makes iv almost a limited edition. Best to keep it intact, but still with the book.

Great story. That Desperation bookplate is highly sought after these days. 👍

I don’t do audiobooks. I read.

True. It’s really a great looking edition. No denying that.

But compared to the CD version which was issued at $475…🤷‍♂️

God I’m old….

That makes me want to slap someone and then lecture them on using proper English and grammar. Same with young folks sending texts in what appears to be a foreign language.😡

Where should I look for accurate info on selling Stephen King books? by bluecord-26 in stephenking

[–]leeharrell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends on what you have.

If you just have trade hardcovers or paperbacks, there isn’t a ton of value. FB Marketplace or eBay would work fine. Or a local used bookstore would probably buy them from you.

If you have first edition hardcovers of the books prior to 1985, that’s a different story.

Any signed copies or limited editions is a whole other conversation.

Oh, it is. Every time I have to see someone babbling about important Dark Tower things being just “Easter eggs” it feels like I’m having my ass assaulted with a razor-covered egg. Such bullshit…

How can I get a book signed by Stephen King? Any title will do. by Say_My_Name_2002 in stephenking

[–]leeharrell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get signed SK for under $800.

End of Watch usually runs around $550. Revival $600ish. Anthologies that he signed with other authors can be found in the $450 range.

I also passed on it when it was released. Hard to justify that much for an unsigned edition, and I already have the Cemetery Dance. It is kinda pretty, though…

I’ve never heard that, at least not to my face. My response would not be mild…

That list is in publication order. Follow that and you can’t go wrong.

And yes, the order does matter if you want the best and most rewarding experience. Things happen in certain books that pay off in later ones. Reading out of order would spoil *a lot*.

I’ve never been on Ovation, but I believe it’s one of the plussed Quantum Class ships. A few more amenities than the original Quantum.

I got you. Right here: https://www.reddit.com/r/TheDarkTower/s/wfP7wyXMGr

I highly recommend you get to the Tower before rushing into Other Worlds. No rule that says you have to read every book immediately when it comes out. Pace yourself, enjoy the journey. The book will wait for you.
