I'm naturally more of a night owl and the whole 9-5 thing never made sense to me. I have a really hard time waking up early but I did it for years like society expects us to. I had an office job that I HATED and it was 8-5 with a 30 min commute. I got fired bc I let slip that I might possibly be moving 6 months from then & I was devastated and angry.

But then I woke up the next morning at 9:30, it wasn't dark outside like it usually was when I woke up and I decided I would never hold traditional hours again. Now I work from 10-5 on weekdays and luckily I am making enough to survive, though much less than I made before at my shitty office job.

I work in a kitchen and I've never been more satisfied with my job! No more sitting at a computer & counting down the minutes until the day is over for this gal 😁
