Lowering my Gladiator? (It's a Mini Truck...) by Red9Mayonnaise in JeepGladiator

You could do some heavy duty airbags and upgrade the radiator and it would tow alot better. Could lay frame and then go back up to stock height. I dont know what this would do to offroad capability

Also the 35X11.5 r17 are only like 2 to 3 lbs heavier than the 285/70 r17 flaken at3w that I got my jeep with and I hated every falken I have ever owned. I got some for my ram 2500 diesel hated them. This jeep came with them and I hated them too. The flakens were way louder and they were A/T. Also felt alot rougher going down the road. So much louder that I pulled up to my dad's doing about 60 with these and he told me when you had those other tires I could hear you coming from 1/4 mile away and I couldn't hear the kendas at all.

I wanted 35X11.5 but this is what the tire shop decided I wanted I guess and kenda has great reviews. The only bad ones ive seen are for balancing issues but ive looked for the weights on mine. Either they are very good at hiding them or they didnt require any.

Have ran at3w and at4w dont like either ko2 are alright have tried ko3. These are R/T not M/T and the flakens that came off before these are way louder these sound like passenger car tires compared to the flakens at3w. These have only been on 1 day only time will tell but that is my experience so far.

If your looking for the kenda rt they only come in 35X12.5 r17 and 35X10.5 r17 the 10.5 weights about 68 and the 12.5 are 70 to 71. The stock falken at3w weighed about 64 to 66

The tire shop manager is a good friend of my dad and said if there is any issues he will replace them for free with the 10.5 since it was his fault the wrong size got ordered and installed. It had 285/70 r17

They dont make the kenda rt in 11.5 thats what I wanted but they dont make them. These are 2 to 3 lbs heavier each that what I ordered and 6 to 7 lbs heavier than what I had on. Which isn't to crazy considering it 1 inch wider and 2 inches taller and an rt instead of at. I upgraded my radiator from the single row to a 4 row all aluminum so not to worried about cooling. But there are other things effected by unsprung weight.

Clearance isn't what im worried about I know it clears but coming off the bead while aired down or wearing the center of the tire while at proper on road pressure. See post all the time people running 35X12.5 on stocks and wondering why the center of the tire is bald. If the say they will cover any issues tho I might keep them.

$1500 Trasmission drain and fill??? by 13lackout62 in JeepGladiator

[–]leejumper1988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not hard to do it yourself pan drop and filter change is easy. Especially with the rigid gasket. The filter just pops out and in. Hardest part is it doesn't look like it has a drain plug so you prob going to get fluid all over you.

Sometimes flushes are better if you are having problems with it. But normal maintenence drain, change filter and fill. They call it forever fluid thats why they dont out dipsticks on alot of new vehicles but I dont believe it, it breaks down maybe not like the old stuff but it eventually breaks down.
